ok... i got the CIC working on the repropak - here's a quick diagram (note - the CIC is mounted in the placeholder upsidedown) http://www.headlessbarbie.com/tools/cic2repropak.gif as far as using the "wrong" chips on the board... the PCB is designed for a 32 pin PRG rom - you can use a 28 ...

with some rewiring... it works perfectly - most of the pins can be left floating... only 6 of them actually are connected to the board - snap the unused pins off - i'll have a better guide for this later... if anyone cares ~alex ps - now im trying to get an alternate CHR chip working with the board....

to simplify the question...

what do i do with the seed, lock/key, unknown2, slave cic reset, and cpu+ppu reset.... solder to GND? VCC?

i have about 100 CIC lockout chips i desoldered from games that didnt have a mapper i could use - im not sure if this is going to work... and rather than just sit here and experiment im trying to get some input... according to the NESDEV wiki this is the CIC pinout http://www.headlessbarbie.com/tool...

im sure its documented somewhere but i spent some time looking for the info - which parts of the screen shouldnt be drawn on for this purpose? im working on some artwork for the nes... i dont want to waste time making things that arent going to look correct on real hardware - if anyone knows off han...

i am speaking for my friend as he will not post this himself - we have an NSF player working for our rom that plays the music from castlevania... however it does not work on nerdtracker or famitracker nsf's - i believe this is a semi-common problem that has to do with addressing... does anyone know ...

the method i use is... bathtub first... to get the laminant peel-offable - then i use goo gone to get the glue off - it works pretty well... and if you have a girlfriend you could make her take a bath in a tub full of nes cart shells ;)
