The small chips have 28 pins while the larger chips have 32 pins. In some cases, it's ideal to have the smaller chips because they are drop in replacements for some of the earlier boards.

FC2 is located in between the cartridge slot and the metal heatsink. To restore it back to its original state, connect a wire to the hole that's labeled "150" and to the hole lablel "FC2". If you look carefully on the pcb, all the resistor and capacitor values are labeled. R3 is ...

FS: CopyNES SOLD

I'm selling my unused CopyNES since I'll probably never get around to using it. This one is the original parallel port version made by kevtris. Comes with everything needed for installation and a parallel cable to connect to the computer.

SOLD

You're right. I forgot about that. This should have the correct pin out. It's the one on the bottom.

GSU-2 maskroms also follow the standard 36 pin diagram. A21 and A22 are grounded since GSU-2 only supports up to 16mbit. The /CE and /OE signals aren't tied to ground either, they connect directly to the chip.

Nintendo uses maskroms that don't have JEDEC pinouts. Several pins are swapped.

Pin 1 - A17
Pin 2 - A18
Pin 24 - A16
Pin 30 - A19
Pin 31 - /OE (GND for GSU-1 boards)

Has the sram issue with rom expanded ExHiRom games been fixed? I tried out dq3e and it still doesn't save.

It only seems to be a problem for this game in particular so it's not a big deal. I have a deinterleaved version of the game when I was doing some work on a 96mbit repro cart. How would I go about adding support for it? I don't mind doing the coding myself so long as I have the tools to do so.

I figured out the save issue with the 96mbit version of star ocean. It seems like the powerpak reads the rom's internal header instead of the gd3 header for sram mapping. If you open up the file in a hex editor and change the following values, saving will work properly. I have a patch made up for it...

There really isn't anything special to it. Judging from the video on thenesdeump, the game isn't modified past the normal hack. It exhibits the same issues as I mentioned very early on in the thread. You can use ucon64 to split the rom and pad it so it fits on two 27c020 eproms. Then just follow the...

Is there any place that lists the differences and variants for the snes models? I want to try to get them (at least the more available ones) for development and testing purposes.

Nice work. I guess my 96mbit repro board can wait a little longer. How big is the onboard sram? As far as the mappers as concerned, would I be able to write one that uses bankswitching so that I could take advantage of the full 128mbit if necessary?

Judging from his problems saving with Chrono Trigger and non-support of >32M roms, it sounds like he is using the original out-dated ucon. Ucon64 doesn't have these issues and supports 48 mbit roms, at least for hirom.
