Re: Acclaim 51555 PCB compatibility
Probes exactly reversed Hello there, Thanks for your confirmation I took the time to check and here it is : positive lead to GND / negative lead to pinX = 0,540v negative lead to +5V / positive lead to pinX = 0,640v The results were the same for pins 6, 7 and 8. (and also for pin 9 which is PRG-A0 ...

Re: Acclaim 51555 PCB compatibility
Hey there, I remember you suspected pins 6 to 8 beeing for an hypothetic RAM management. OK I'll gladly do that and check those out. But don't get me wrong I am just an old-school video game hobbyist :-) My knowledge in electronics are (very) limited. So, just to get this straight and make sure I ca...

Re: Acclaim 51555 PCB compatibility
Hello Guys, Here I am, a little (very) late to the party. I recently stumbled upon this thread and wanted to verify by myself. In PAL region we did not have any of those ACCLAIM games with the MC-ACC "mmc3-clone" chip. All of those game came on normal TL-ROM boards. As you can imagine - he...

What kind of donnor did you use ?
Are you 100% sure of the rewiring (from the EPROM to MaskROM) you have done ?
Some additionnal pictures of your repro would be useful.

Re: Cartridge database
I already made a first comment ^^ It has to do with the page below : http://krzysiobal.com/carts/?action=view&id=378 The PCB marks on this one should definetely not be "NONE". Instead it should be "S6IN1" (as written on the top right corner of the board). I own an exactly sim...

Re: SD Gundam Gachapon Senshi 3 - No battery in cartridge..
Hey there, The answer is very simple and has nothing to do with the battery... The outer shell does not correspond to the PCB inside. Somebody swapped it The "SD Gundam 3 Gachapon" game is supposed to be a mmc3 TKROM board. Its code is HVC-3G. On your photo the board is a TSROM (also mmc3)...

Re: mario RPG with junk graphics
To be more explicit When comparing a 64K ram (of the 1L3B) to a 256k (as in a 1L5B) you'll see that 256K has two additionnal addresses : A14 (pin1) and A13 (pin26) So, when putting a 256k ram chip on a 1L3B board you need to make sure these pins 1 and 26 are going where they should! But I must admit...

Re: mario RPG with junk graphics
Hey there, Just as a reminder Super Mario RPG has a 265K of Ram (1L5B) while Kirby has only 64k (1L3B). You say you swapped the Maskrom AND the Ram... and that's OK. But, did you make sure the 1L3B board (which is planned for less Ram) has the necessary wiring to host a 256K RAM chip ? My guess is :...
