Re: SMB1 Working but not SMB3

Also, I believe /IRQ should be always high when you turn on the NES with no cartridge inserted, or when running SMB1. If you don’t see 5V, you may be missing a resistor from /IRQ to 5V, or may have the incorrect resistor, etc. You can safely add a 10k resistor from /IRQ to 5V at the cartridge conne...

Re: SMB1 Working but not SMB3

The only things I can think of: - Dirty connector/games - problem with /IRQ signal. The older games might not enable IRQ. This signal may need a pull-up resistor or something. It’s not the dirty connector or games because I have been using the same ones between a original hardware and the rebuild

Re: UA6527P on NTSC Console

Yeah, those should need a 26.6MHz crystal instead. My understanding is that this frequency of crystal isn't particularly common, so you may need something different. And you'll need a TV that can accept PAL. Or at least 50Hz video, if you're ok with it being black-and-white. I see. This is very ins...

UA6527P on NTSC Console

I’m trying to figure out what is wrong with my console. Just a little backstory on the problem. I purchased a fan made PCB with all the components un soldered. I put everything together while using the old original CPU AND PPU. For some odd reason only SMB1 would work and not SMB3. I ended buying 2 ...
