yes, dr mario is serom (it`s printed on the pcb), the ICs I want to use are identical by number of legs (27c256 or 512), I guess 64/128 KB is quite enough... I`ll have to find original rom pinouts to compare.... but I still wonder if nes will read this sizes because dr mario is about 42KB....

some flash-cart questions

I will make my own eprom programmer, the schematic is very simple but it can only flash 27(c)128,27256 and 27512 eproms. ...

NES in a ZX Spectrum

Here`s something little I was building these days. I have two spectrums in my computer junk, one is working and the other one has broken keyboard flat connector which cannot be repaired (that was the common problem those days), so I decided to reanimate the dead one and put Nes-famicom inside it. Th...

Well, the first one I made was exactly like the one you have, so it`s problem with this IC, maybe that top-loading NES didn`t have security pins....

Still nothing!!! It`s not working with resistors too.... It`s definitely this CIC circuit. I isolated it with tape on original cart and and Mario is not working now.... So I will add this IC to adapter to see what happens....

Thanx for helping out guys, I did compare my adapter to pics (found on net large pics with both sides), I know there are cheap adapters to buy but I just like making my own stuff.... @sepi: can you tell me what pins exactly (there`s chr Dxx and PRG Dxx) and is it only two pins you mentioned or is it...

No boot, like there`s no cartridge inserted, I even soldered famicom cart directly to NES board (because I got really pissed off) and it didn`t work, so I gave up. The given pinouts are probably incorrect....

72 to 60 adapter?

Hello, I`m having some problems. I made the whole thing with super mario cart and cartridge slot from old broken famicom. http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/3779/20102008178cp6.jpg Well, the problem is that mario cart doesn`t have some pins on the board. Pins 37 and 38, 14, 15. So I don`t have M2,Pr...
