I agree, it'd be easier if it looked more similar to the current forums, but I understand if limitations prevent that. Will threads with images look the same? I made quite a few posts about graphics and I'd like to see them preserved. As long as they still point to the photobucket images, they'll b...

Hopefully not all of this communication is for naught. Catching a whiff of Aggroskater's last little rant -- that he's very cool with knowing people will associate with his screen name and traceable information for as long as a servers are capable and humans are interested enough in spending the mo...

Perhaps I should get with them and tell them what's already being done to archive the nesdev subdomain and wiki.nesdev.com domain. EDIT: I summarized koitsu's posts in this topic into AT's page about Parodius. Um... it's foxhack.net, not .com :P Could you please fix that? I own the .net / com / org...

Perhaps it may be worth investigating a proactive block, if you can identify any IP ranges that they use to scrape such content? Figure out which ranges of addresses need blocking and then block them server wide, so that they can't eat up valuable bandwidth. Just an idea, and if it's possible to do...

Well, I'm fine with them archiving the home page, our FAQ, etc. -- sure, that's all public anyway. But our home page/etc. != users' content. They will need to get every individual site owners' permission to archive stuff. I'm not sure they should bother at this point anyway -- if they were fair, th...

I was expecting them to say something. They basically take site archives and distribute them via torrent / Archive.org / other sites. They do good stuff but I've always been iffy about the legality of the thing. And the privacy part. At least in my regard the answer is a resounding no. My site is my...

The Konfiskated Teknologies Network (kontek.net) would like to extend an offer of free hosting to any affected sites. We previously handled the relocation of many IGN hosted sites as they shut down, and would gladly take on some more. E-mail me at eclipsedmoon@gmail.com for any inquiries, or use an...

Why close it down, and not hand it off to someone that will keep it alive for the community? It just wouldn't be the same. And why is that? Because X choose to host it someplace, but Y decided to host it at another? You wouldnt tell a difference. Because you'll veru likely never find someone who's ...

I do things the hard way. I don't hack any ... routines, I just make my title in paint shop pro 7, edit it so it uses the least amount of tiles possible, add the tiles to the rom, edit the in-game tilemap (easy to do with a hex editor), and I'm done. Well I still have to change the attribute table, ...

Um... I think I shouldn't have procrastinated so much now. :P I'm translating this same game, but to English. And well, your title screen is pretty damn good! MottZilla helped me with some technical things, and I've got a translated script, but I haven't started work on the title screens. I am damn ...

Um, hi. KingMike just told me about this thread. Sorry for the late reply. According to the readme... Special thanks to King Mike for telling me about the ASM routine that was messing up the game when I hacked the title. That hack is KingMike's fault, but I can't find the email he sent me ages ago.....
