Re: Current Problem PowerPak Games

Having some issues with Metroid FDS v 1.02. Some doors won't spawn, high jump boots didn't show up and the zebetites and mother brain were already dead when I entered the room. I have used the same rom and powerpak before with zero problems. Rev E powerpak on a sound modded NES. I think that saving ...

VS Upright Arcade, $400?

Vs Super Mario Bros cabinet with Mario Tennis, Hogans Alley, Baseball, Excitebike, Goonies. Good condition, for $400 dollars. At first I thought it was a good deal, but after reading up on it a bit it seems that they don't go for much. I also don't know if they other games come with the PPUs they ne...

Re: Game-breaking glitches in NES games

Ikari Warriors, when playing two player and one person goes up without waiting for the other to catch up he/she can get stuck at the bottom of the screen. Very annoying especially considering the difficulty of trying to get far in that game.

Famicom Wars on Powerpak

Neither the translation nor the original Japanese rom will prompt me to save with SRAM. Does the NES Powerpak support MMC4?

Re: Disassembling EU SMB1 to find diff. compared to JP-versi

Wow, had no idea there were that many differences other than a general speed-up. Semi-off topic, anyone know why the SMB1 FDS minus-world is beatable?

Wiimote Plus Vs. PS Move: PC Support?

Which would work better in a PC light-gun scenario? I know that the Wiimote Plus has Glovepie and PS Move has motionjoy for drivers. What I would like to know would be which would play nice with two mice and have high accuracy.

Does Glovepie even support the Plus controller?

For Kirby for sure has incorrect palette issues, for instance the final boss battle looks incorrect. I thought this was known already though.

I also bought a front-loading NES in a bundle (refurbished with a new 72-pin, can't push down), the seller gave me some games that she said were "broken". It would never work as much as a tried on the one she gave me, but it worked right away on my top-loader NES. On my old regular NES tha...

:(. Well, good to know I guess.

I got another Megaman related one though, does anyone know why when using the Game Genie on Megaman 1 and 2 the sound corrupts? These are the only two games I know that do that.

Hold up and A on controller 2 in Megaman 3 freezes bosses and Megaman, but you can still shoot.

FF3

Rather than sacrifice a SMB2 cart and do required modding, it makes more sense to buy the original cartridge seeing as the price really isn't that high. Long eBay URL With shipping it's $20, and if you don't read Japanese you can re-flash it with an English translation. Saves a lot of work, and give...

PS3 Re-Solder Blu-Ray Socket.

I bought a PS3 online that had the entire clip/socket where you put the ribbon for the drive ripped off. I have a dead PS3 board that would like to remove the clip from and re-solder onto my good PS3. Would it be possible to do this? I asked this in a PS3 forum already and didn't get any replies so ...

CRT TV for NES?

So the Television that I've been using for my NES needs is dying (flickering/color loss). I'll be using a smaller CRT for now, but it's definitely not nearly as nice. What I'd like to know is are there LCD's (maybe plasma, but they run too big for where I need it) that have 0 ms. This is critical to...
