Thats amazing! I was waiting on the funky flash cart for a while, and now that his schematics are released, I might still hold off for this.
My only question is, why CF? why not SD? Isn't that more of the defacto standard these days?

Desoldering braid. Copper wire braided together. Put this down on what you want to lift, apply a fine tip soldering iron and the braid absorbs and traps the solder. Just remove the braid with the iron or the braid will be soldered to the board. If that happens just apply the iron and lift together, ...

Ya I was thinking it was a little sketchy myself about leaving 3v going to the Vcc at all times. I couldn't see it causing +5 volts to the other pins. But +5 and +3 at the same time sounds bad. As far as I know TTL chips can only take 5volts, its the cmos chips that are forgiving. I couldn't seein u...

SDM: That link you posted for the VRAM 8/64kb pinout conflicts with another wiring diagram on the same site http://nintendoallstars.w.interia.pl/romlab/crom2cram.htm It seems the chr /RD and /A13 are flipped around. Which one is correct? Also where would you go abouts getting the propper vram chip? ...

I only want to be able to erase it if it didnt work the first time. Im almost 90% sure the first flash wont work like I expect. so its better to be prepared then to be at a loss of a cart! I found the battery thing on that site and I think I have the jist of doing this. First I would have desolder t...

It would be nice if someone who has made a few devcarts from different *rom's made a few tutorials or just put all the information together with some screenshots of there work. It would really help a lot of us out who are having a hard time finding the information and figuring out which is correct o...

Thanks for the replies. I know you can interchange prg/chr chips with eprom's/flash. I would want to go flash however since Eproms (to my knowledge) can only be programmed once, and if you want to rewrite you have to erase them with UV exposer. Celius: I saw your post and I do know what website your...

Devcart w/ programmer
I've seen a lot of people making DEV carts here and it has me very interested, but I see everyone using eprom programmers to program flashroms and then insert them in socketed carts. I was wondering if anyone has made a cart with a built in flasher (serial/USB input or whatever) so the chips didnt h...

I don't think I will need the inverter since The switch thats in the NES now is a double throw. I could have two different 5 volts, one for each set of OR gates. one position 5 volts will go to the internals, meaning that the cartridge will work, one position the 5 volts will go to the cartridge con...
