Re: SNES PowerPak
I often get a black screen when powering up, which clears up after a one or two resets. (1/1/1 console, firmware build #11331) Does a newer build fix this? i rarely get mine to give me the menu on the first power on. although for my cart i always had issues doing anything on it. there are no errors...

Re: FDSloadr Not Communicating with RAM Adapter
if you had read the readme on FDSLOADR it states exactly what you need in order for it to work. use a pure dos environment when you do it. I had done this myself with a small computer that still used 72-pin simms and had excellent success with using it but ran into issues when I ran the program unde...

Re: Power Pak issues
Maybe it's your systems. I have a friend who has an nes and snes and both don't like my power paks.
Are you also using original adapters on your systems?

Re: Power Pak issues
are you sure its not a problem with the compact flash card you are using? When I first received the nes powerpak back in 2010 i had problems with it right off the bat. only my issues were because of the card type i had used. at first i thought it would be the cart connector to the nes but after poki...

Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?
i wouldn't give up all you need is old computer. laptops will not work either. everything is explained in the documentation for FDSLOADR from what i read when i was interested in it.
what do i know anyway. sometime in the future maybe it would become of great interest again?

Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?
rainwarrior what type of computer did you use that had a parallel port still? if the computer used is at least a socket 7 or below it should work no problem. i've went through 2 cables and both bit the dust when i tried to convert the cables to directly connect them. trial and error for me at the ti...

Re: FDSloadr partly works

Re: FDSloadr partly works

Re: FDSloadr partly works
The older to computer the better. i've had success rates much higher using freeDOS. computers i've ran fdsloadr on ranged from 486 through pentium4 they worked but saving back to the disk image is very tricky on newer machines. timing is different on every computer with the lpt1 port still intact. i...

does anybody know exactly how the nes emulator provided by nintendo works? Are the emulators using a color palette from software or hardware? would there even be a difference?
the emulator FCE Ultra GX lets you select multiple palettes so obviously its software driven.

Re: Famicom games with expansion audio - complete list
thank you rainwarrior. i have been wondering why bases loaded/ Moero!! Pro Yakyuu seemed to only play the audio like the crowd cheers and the crack of the bat on the japanese famicom system but using a 60-to-72 pin adapter would not play those sounds on the american NES i thought the pinout for the ...

Re: SNES PowerPak Mappers
Hello! I've been having some issues with my SNES PowerPak (games that are compatible simply not loading properly) and was wondering if it may be a mapper issue. loopy put out some awesome mappers for the NES PowerPak that have helped a lot of people out. Did he do something similar for the SNES? An...
