Re: What qualifies a game to be a suitable donor cart?
My goal was improving the text engine for western languages, doubling the text box height from 2 lines to 4 lines (removing chinese character compatibility), adding a new and easier-to-read font and converting the game to BNROM, then translating the game to English (using texts from the real Pokémo...

Re: INL HiLoROM SNES flash cart
Any thoughts about expanding this to other consoles? GB, GBA, N64? yeah I have dreams to do everything under the sun. ;) To leak a little info I will say I'm working on a GB prototype right now. that's a long way out though, still a lot of polish needed on my NES and SNES boards before GB gets goin...

Re: INL HiLoROM SNES flash cart
In terms of SRAM, is there a way to limit the size seen on old boards? I haven't found a patch for Super Metroid or its hacks
UPDATE: uCON64 is an older but good way to get around that

Re: Super Everdrive -best prices?
Thank you all, Super Everdrive appears to be best for my purposes, due to the cost of SD2SNES and the current lack of Super FX chip which may or may not be implemented on that device. I believe I will order the Super Everdrive tonight from retrogate

Re: Super UFO pro 8 (flash Cart) - DSP1 add-on support
Super Everdrive may be the route to go it seems...
for the US costwise I've seen
Super UFO Pro 8 (SD card ver) for about $50 on Amazon
$79 Seems to be the cheapest I see for the Super Everdrive. Has anyone else found it cheaper?

Super Everdrive -best prices?
Wanting to get a flash cart to test some things on actual SNES hardware and without the funds for SD2SNES, I figured getting a deal on SUPER UFO PRO 8 would be a good compromise. It doesnt have any of the special chip support, other than DSP1 when a game with that chip is attached on top. Does it ha...

porting gameboy to NES or SNES
I've read that there are decompilers for gameboy and GBA to assembly for z80 and ARM respectively
How difficult would it be to then port this assembly over to NES or SNES and then recompile?
This seems feasible, no?
