Re: 1A3B-13 socket board works with some games but not other
I may have figured it out, but I'm not able to test until later. The only one I swapbinned was RTDL, I did not know you could swapbin a 8mbit rom. I'm assuming that's necessary for the 24/31 swap to work.

1A3B-13 socket board works with some games but not others
Hey all, I made a little test board so I could make sure my 27c801 burns worked before I soldered them in. I wired up a socket and swapped pins 24 and 31. The only game I tried that worked (out of 6 games) was SMW: Return to Dinosaur Land. Nothing else works. Any idea why other 8mbit games won't wor...

Re: Can I use a SHVC-1J3M-11 board to make Crimson Echoes?
Thanks for the info. What about a regular 32 megabit game and a single 29F032?

Can I use a SHVC-1J3M-11 board to make Crimson Echoes?
Hello again,
I have a couple of 1J3M-11 boards laying around. I noticed that they have 32 pin maskroms, but have 36 pins sockets on the board.
I've provided a picture as well for reference. Can I use this with the DIP36-TSOP board without any modifications?

How do you figure? I compared it and I only see 3 similar pinouts between the two. Am I looking at it wrong?MaarioS wrote:The pinout of your memory matches mine so the above instructions I provided to you should do the job

Thank you both for your detailed responses.
Here's the data sheet on these particular chips.

The pinout looks different from the one for the other 29F016.

Can I use a TSOP to make 8 megabit LoRom repros? (SNES)
Hi all, I'm new here - but I've been reading up on how to create repros. I understand that you can use an 29f032 to make larger games, but what if I want to use a 16Megabit TSOP (16 Mbit (2Mbx8)) to make an 8 megabit game? I acquired 10 29f016b chips and I'd like to use them for that purpose. In add...
