Re: Utilizing Game Maker for 2D Online Multiplayer

How'd you get a perpetual license? I'm jealous. 4 years ago. They don't do that anymore, I'm afraid. Wait, I don't have that script. Where'd you get it? Did you make it up? It seems that he updated the extension and it doesn't have that script anymore. Hmm... You mean to the script files or the ext...

Re: 2A07: A Space Odyssey

Clicking the download link doesn't work. Tried it on chrome and opera.
Opening the link on a new tab doesn't work.
Copying the link, creating a new tab and pasting it. That worked.

Re: Utilizing Game Maker for 2D Online Multiplayer

I'm using the latest GMS2 (I have a perpetual desktop license). But it's been working for years now, so it definitely worked with that version you're using. What error are you getting? I thought you were only testing the MOD plugin, not the GME one. My bad. You may want to edit GME the same way I di...

NES Assets Workshop (NAW)

NAW is a graphics creation tool targeted specifically for developing NES assets. The GUI should be familiar to artists. Currently available for Windows only. I'm looking for a way to export to Linux. It allows editing the nametables, the CHR pages and OAM data, all using a very visual workflow. Some...

NAW is made in GMS2 and has a chiptune player. Accepts nsf, spc, gbs. The name of the extension is GME (Game Music Emu) https://forum.yoyogames.com/index.php?t ... ree.25121/

Esse biohazard foi feito no nesmaker? A música você pegou pronta ou fez?
Eu também uso o ca65 mas não tenho experiência suficiente pra dizer se é melhor ou pior do que os outros. A impressão que tenho é que é mais completo.

Re: New Here, Trying to get my feet wet

If NAW is some kind of application, I may be able to offer help on Linux exporting I've programmed it in GameMaker Studio 2's GML language. It requires GMS2 installed on a Windows PC. And on the local network there must be a Linux PC to set as the target. I'm in the "having a linux pc" st...

Re: NES games with a lot of character logic going on

Gauntlet enemies are background and move in 8 pixel chunks. I imagine it would have an area in RAM that flags occupied tiles when an enemy moves into it. In Gauntlet 1 it's not uncommon for the player character to move to the same spot as the enemy if they both move to it at the same time though.

Re: What would you change about the NES?

I guess we would have to look into markets were it did not win, such as South America NES clones were very popular in South America. In my experience (knowing dozens of families that owned a console at the time), NES clones were in higher numbers than Master Systems. It is misinformation that the N...

Awesomesauce!!!! When selecting CHR granularity shouldn't it say % of a "pattern table" instead of a "nametable"? FYI: for some reason, facebook messenger (browser) didn't like me sending the link "https://mapper.nes.science/" to someone. It said "couldn't send&quo...
