Re: Yeah Yeah Beebiss II

I can't talk much, but Riggs made a long interview about it where you can find out more.

Re: SNESTicle released, with article.

The TODO list has a ton of entries, so far from accurate.

Re: Porting Cyberdogs to Super Nintendo

Why not use one of the modernized SDL ports, instead of the original ancient source?

Ha, excellent trolling. Two days after someone spends months REing the GC binary, release source.

Mine probably runs on Windows with a few minutes' porting.

Re: Need advice buying a NES-101 and a flash cart

Now you've confused wedNESday again :P

When the above two posts say flashcart, they mean Everdrive. Retrostage's boards are *not* flashcarts, they are flashable repro boards.

Re: Need advice buying a NES-101 and a flash cart

Retrostage's programmer only flashes the carts he sells. If there's no famicom discrete cart for sale, it's easy enough to get a famicom-nes adapter. Using an adapter with a NROM game doesn't matter.

Re: Need advice buying a NES-101 and a flash cart

Folks, stop telling the can't-solder-person how to manually build a cart the hard way

With products like I linked before, you put it in the programmer and press a button on your computer. For discrete carts like NROM there are no downsides, no different behavior.

Stop putting everything in one file. It's ugly.

Seems they're on holiday til Jan 10. Use archive.org to see old versions of the discrete blaster, etc.

I haven't had any issues and I'm on a 4G connection, but it's a home connection where the IP does not change often.

Presumably connecting it to the PPU means it can only be accessed during vblank.

Re: Record video from Mesen successfully?

Tepples, direct encoding to h.264 at a high quality would use far too much cpu while still being bad quality due to single pass. It simply doesn't make sense, it's the right path to record to a low-overhead format and transcode later.
