Re: Introducing the VeriSNES (FPGA-based SNES)
Wow, thank you! Too bad about the Jag! I wonder if it's powerful enough to run a SNES core as well?

Those are some impressive cores! Would you consider porting them to the MiSTer project?: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/wiki

Re: Introducing the VeriSNES (FPGA-based SNES)
The Analogue appears to be HDMI-only. If it supports FX games and the SD2SNES (with MSU audio), then it should be a good solution for flat-screen owners.
I'd personally prefer something with 240p support and more video output options.

Re: Introducing the VeriSNES (FPGA-based SNES)
Well, it's official, I just committed and documented the last core system feature for my FPGA SNES (direct color mode). I guess now it's time to start working on FPGA PSX. :) Just kidding, now it's time to start squashing some bugs and implementing other cool features that I've been wanting to add ...

Re: 240p test suite
Yes, "mic" stays red no matter what. Does that mean my controller is bad?
Also...cool controller test program!

Re: 240p test suite
Does it say "noise"? If so, the microphone bit is getting triggered before the tone begins. Does it still say "noise" when you turn the mic volume all the way down? I'll need to add a real time display to troubleshoot this. If it instead says "no signal", does the othe...

Re: 240p test suite
I just tried it on my NESRGB-modded Famicom and it didn't seem to work - No audio played on the TV, no matter what I did. Maybe I'm just making a stupid mistake? Load the audio test and press A, right?

Re: 240p test suite
Wow, that's awesome! That should do the trick, as all we'd need is the frames - Seconds would be nice too, but that's still enough to use the Hi-Def NES as a true lag tester for flat-screen TV's!! Thanks so much for adding this! I'll bring it up on the podcast and add a page on my site that describe...

Re: 240p test suite
Here's a video demonstrating the issue. I usually prefer to use a DSLR to get a clearer picture, but this should be decent: https://youtu.be/E525KsUh_VQ

Re: Hi-Def NES HDMI Adapter for the NES
5x scaling is not possible without a major redesign of the hardware, because there is not enough resources left on the FPGA. Another PCB design with added RAM, and a new FPGA would be required along with a $40-50 price increase. Is it the processing power of the FPGA that's preventing it from added...
