Re: Completed: Berzerk / Frenzy
Hi guys: Ok, this was why I couldn't post the ROM for the NES version. It's actually licensed. This version I converted from my Atari 7800 port, which I did about 6 years ago with guidance from Alan McNeil (the person who developed the arcade game). The only main difference between the two is on the...

Re: Rainbow Brite for NES
At least the Rainbow Brite one is.
I don't know about the other one as I didn't work on that game (although I don't think it is running an NES emulator).

Re: Rainbow Brite for NES
Thank you...
That, I have no idea. This was a 'work for hire', and I actually have no rights to the game. However I *was* told that they are working on NES carts.

Rainbow Brite for NES
Hi guys: This is the Rainbow Brite game that I did for the Coleco project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lwx9pfOFNXY There is talk about making NES carts of this. Unfortunately, I cannot share the bin as it is owned by Hallmark / Coleco. :( Coleco Kickstarter page (link here so you know what I'm t...

Re: Completed: Berzerk / Frenzy
only five sentences Do you store them as sentences? I thought the original assembled them from phrases and words; could that get you the rest of what was said, since you seem to have most of the words in place? I'm curious how tight on [N]ROM you are. You could always go and be the first[?] to make...

Re: Completed: Berzerk / Frenzy
I will make a video, as I need to show it to someone 'with influence' soon anyway.
BTW, my port has two player simultaneous (as well as alternating) gameplay.

Re: Question about implementing MMC1 in NESDEV...
Bank switching on UNROM is almost as simple as on the 7800. But because you're using both CHR ROM larger than 8K and PRG ROM larger than 32K, you need to switch both PRG ROM and CHR ROM. Can you reduce your game's PRG size to about 104K so that you can decompress CHR data from PRG ROM to CHR RAM at...

Question about implementing MMC1 in NESDEV...
Hi all! I have a question for you, if I may: My goal is to have a 128K PRG / 16K CHR game made, with 16K banked at $8000-$BFFF ($C000-$FFFF is fixed). I have the Mapper control byte at #%00001100. This is my RESET VECTOR: RESET: SEI ; DISABLE IRQS CLD ; DISABLE DECIMAL MODE LDA #$80 ; THIS LOCKS THE...

Re: Completed: Berzerk / Frenzy
Thanks guys!
No ROM yet... I'm trying a few things; one of which is releasing this as a fully licensed port. I just hope I hear back.
Thanks,
Bob

Completed: Berzerk / Frenzy
Hey Guys: Thanks to a bunch of people here that were nice enough to answer my (many) questions, I just finished my first NES game. (I am normally an Atari 7800 developer, but I wanted to move one of my ports from the 7800 to the NES). When I was doing the 7800 version, I was lucky enough to have had...
