Re: short answer
Mind repeating it in Portuguese? I'm just curious. It's too stupid... so, I ask that any other brazilian members around forgive me for propagating something so stupid... It goes something like: -Conhece o Mario? -Que Mario? -Aquele que te comeu atrás do armário! Which translates to: -Do you know Ma...

Re: short answer
You know MARIO? Some time ago there was a widely known joke (a retarded one at that) here in Brazil that started with this exact question, but it makes no sense at all in english... EDIT: Just to stay on topic: I think disassemblies are great to learn from (research), but I don't see the point in r...

Legal issues aside, are they really being hurt if I download a copy of Magical Doropie? No, but Vic Tokai is, in theory. (Why does a Google search for this title turn up a ROM site before a review?) And if The Tetris Company's anti-clone arguments are anything to go by, Capcom is being hurt because...

It's not illegal to make a copy for backup purposes, but since pretty much nobody ever makes a backup of a cartridge, Nintendo in its infinite wisdom has decided that it's okay to tell people that backup devices are illegal across the board. How Does Nintendo Feel About the Emergence of Video Game E...

Yeah, the FDS channel is a waveform channel like the Gameboy's channel 3, or any of the TG-16's channels - if it seems smoother, it's likely because it has both a higher sample resolution and a longer waveform buffer than the Gameboy (64 6-bit samples versus 16 4-bit samples) - this would allow for,...

Imagine how much the sprites in Tales of Phantasia would flicker (they already flicker on the SNES sometimes, wich allows 4 times more sprites per line than the NES). Sure, but I think it's still cool to simulate the existence of ports that never came to be. It's a complete waste of time, of course...

Intellectual property, as I understand it, refers to something that is your creation - a character, a piece of music, or a game, for example. This is a good thing to have protected because it means that cheapie imitators can't just blatantly use your work for their own profit without your permission...
