What I want to know is what the heck is up with the brown paint job?
Perhaps someone did a poor job of removing whatever previous label was on the cart, and dipping it in brown paint was the (hoaxer's) solution to covering up label remnants?
I just did a quick test, I'll try out even more later. Everything asides FDS and MMC5 nsfs work so far, flawlessly! And it's not like you'd even try running those normally anyways. I tried to test things of a distinct nature. Tested: Handful of Anamanaguchi nsfs: created in nerdtracker Arumana no Ki...
It's sounding better with each edit, keep up the good work. It sounds like the triangle "tom" in splash woman should cut a bit more quickly. It doesn't last as long and pitch down as far as it does in your version. Assuming the note is cutting off with with a volume setting in the sequence...
Good find! NotTheCommonDose, you meant that the Kirby NSF track itself was incomplete / erroneous, right? Just clarifying-- if you got to hear the whole thing in the game then I'd pass on it. I found out about mega man 3, apparently you have to hold up + a on the second controller during the ending ...
Thanks guys! I edited the post accordingly. Are you sure about the MM3 pause trick? I'm pretty sure that pausing at the right moment lets you hear all of track 18, not 19. It's more than you get to hear normally but it's not the entire ending theme. At least that's what happened when I did it. Altho...
Yay, thread revival. I don't have an answer to the original question, but did want to add that I think Metal Gear 2 for MSX is IMHO among Konami's best soundtracks. Seriously! Theme of Solid Snake and Zanzibar Breeze are such excellent tracks. The soundtrack as a whole floored me when I was playing...
Not sure if this is still relevant to you but I'll give it a shot- did the MSX version essentially have the same music? Yeah but I don't think it sounded as good, and it also didn't have the main jungle theme. Pretty much everyone will tell you that the NES port was sloppy and inferior to the MSX ve...
Oh and a couple curious things of interest -There are those weird "glitchy" jingles in Solstice. Are these artifacts of a bad nsf rip or is that junk data actually from the game? All the jingles seem to borrow snippets from other tracks and freeze. -The ending to Mega Man IV, track 12, get...
Hey all, I'm going to organize a collection of "lost tunes" to share with the interwebs. I've always been intrigued by music found in the rom data that never made it into gameplay. I plan on including- -unused tracks (as well as "unknowns" that are up for debate/ scrutiny) -track...
