Re: Project A-RPG

I had a hard time reading the text because of the low contrast against the background. Other than that it looks good.

Re: Adventures of Lolo series

Ah, the Lolo games. I used to play the second one quite a lot as a kid. Recently I got Eggerland for the Famicom, but I haven't beat it yet. If you like games where you solve puzzles you might enjoy Sutte Hakkun on the Super Famicom.

We have [...] no reliable source for [...] sleeves.
By sleeves, do you mean dust covers? videogameboxprotectors are selling dust cover repros, so you can buy as many as you like (you may have to contact them first if you need more than a few hundred).

On that note, have a fireball.
Aww, I was half-expecting the fireball scene from Revenge of The Nerds.

Re: Best analog video capture device??

You might as well just use a composite cable instead of doing all this crap At the time when I did this I didn't have a composite cable for the Saturn, so I used what I had, and I already owned the SCART coupler and adapter. Plus, as I mentioned, I wanted to feed the video both to my TV and to my c...

Re: Best analog video capture device??

Also, thanks for the advice on SCART to HDMI adapter. ... it seems to be the only way to capture SCART footage. It's been a few years, but I'm pretty sure I did some recordings from my european Sega Saturn (for which I only have a SCART cable) using a SCART coupler: http://www.cartmco.com/images/12...

Re: Diggin' in the carts - video game music documentary

This website is as flashy as it could possibly get, but I have no clue what I'm supposed to do once there. A click on "Episode 1" has no effect.
Works fine for me in Chrome. Have you disabled (or not installed) Flash support for your browser?

Diggin' in the carts - video game music documentary

In case anyone has missed it, there's an ongoing online documentary series about japanese video game music called "Diggin' in the carts". So far, two episodes are available, and it looks like there will be 4 more. In the series they interview several musicians, like Hip Tanaka, Masashi Kag...

Re: Best NES controllers?

Currently I've got an AV Famicom controller, which I'm pretty happy with except for the A/B button placement odd, nearly everyone I can think of thinks these are the best thing since sliced bread. It's perfectly fine for many games. But I wouldn't consider it a good controller for games where you o...

Re: NES dust sleeves - what type of material is that?

Videogameboxprotectors is selling dust sleeve repros for $0.46 each, if you buy at least 25 of them. Unless you're planning to make massive amounts of dust sleeves I find it hard to believe that you're going to get them much cheaper than that, but you're welcome to try :T

Best NES controllers?

I could use some new controllers for my NES, and was wondering what the best option is these days. Currently I've got an AV Famicom controller, which I'm pretty happy with except for the A/B button placement (the buttons are placed at an angle, instead of being vertically aligned like on the origina...

Re: NES controller for Famicom

I've seen pre-built ones on eBay
Ah, yes. There was a guy selling pre-built adapters on eBay for $17, which is entirely reasonable considering that just getting the necessary parts probably would've cost me more than that.

Re: NES controller for Famicom

You can make (or buy) a connector for the expansion port on the front of the Famicom that you can connect two NES controllers to http://jiggawatt.org/picsplz/suatmm.jpg No, but really - you know where those adaptors can be bought? I can sort-of live with the short cables, but I really don't like th...
