Micro Machines from GoodNES 3.10 had flickering during the race on my PAL NES, as well as messed up graphics at the player selection menu iirc.
Fire Hawk also had some flickering in-game. Linus Spacehead was ok I think.

If you haven't noticed it in any game yet, you probably have got a "good console". This is the way SMB3 (PAL) looks with my machine for example: http://www.anes.se/powerpak.mpg I don't get those lines in SMB3 (I have a NES-PAL-001 model), but I get a similar effect in Mike Tyson's Punch-O...

Got mine in the mail today (@ Sweden). I'm currently waiting for my GoodNES 3.10 download to finish so the only ROMs I've tried running so far are my own demos which are all NROM.. works great on my PAL NES. I'll try something like W&W or SMB3 later.

How can you attack an ennemy wich isn't in the screen yet before you jump on a platform, and that appears just when you're about to land on the said platform just to push you down to your doom ? You just cannot kill them nor avoid them, even if you know they're gonna to be there. Where in the game ...

This is why you need to memorize the stages, so that you can time all your jumps and attacks to avoid getting hit by those f-ing birds (why do all the birds hate him so bad anyway?) Stages 6-1 and 6-2 are especially fun.

Nah, Ninja Gaiden 1 was pretty easy once you had memorized all the stages  I used to do speedruns for it when I was in 6th grade or something like that (not knowing then that 10+ years later I'd have to see my times being smahed by some guy playing with an emulator :) ) Imo the second game was...

Actually it said "Your purchase will be shipped by PayPal Shipping with U.S. Postal Service®", not that it _had_ been shipped.. But it was sent out by service@intl.paypal.com

I got emails both about the payment and when the package had been shipped, but I used paypal so maybe it just works in that case.

The sound hardware is not all that different (from a programmer's perspective anyway). But the CPU and PPU (having what basically is a second BG layer for example) are quite different, and iirc the gameboy also has a timer and a scanline counter etc. Perhaps it would be an interesting project to try...

No, pretty much everyone has debit cards around here (Sweden). It's basically a matter of going in to your bank and saying "I want one" (as long as you're over 18 ), and they'll send it to you in a couple of days.

Just out of curiosity I tried applying a delta-codec to the smb_orig pattern data and got a file that was 11956 bytes (that is, about 18% of the original file. or 73% if compared to a plain 2-bit represenation). It'd be interesting to try to implement the decoder in 6502 assembly sometime, since it'...

If that troll ported Sonic 2 from the Genesis to the NES the way he says he did it, then I'm the original designer of the C programming language (which would have been quite a feat, seeing as how I wasn't even born at the time).
