Playing SPC files would be cool to, but MUCH more complicated. Or simpler, considering there's already a compact module that plays SPC music natively . I wanted to build one of those, that's why I posted the other thread asking why there was no "silver-box" in my snes.. but I can't find o...

I would love to see this but with the options to also play sid, spc, mod and xm ^^. ofcourse as tepples has already pointed out you can do this on a gba/nds but it would be much nicer having this in a ipod-mini/shuffle sized device :)

I don't get it why people compare nes music to lets say psx music, it's a style in it self. you don't compare dnb music to classical so why sampled to analog? and by the way, analog can kick digitals ass(?) anytime :D

Answered my own question:
http://alpha-ii.com/Info/snes-spdif.html

it seems like I'm 'lucky' enough to have one of the newer revisions >_<

edit:
So how do I know that it's one of the old versions that had the SHVC-SOUND boxes in it, when I'm out to buy a new SNES?

me and some friends did a little gba demo for like a year ago using that technique. I thought it was rather common to use it on the gba, is it?
