27C160 50F1 or 120F1 ? Whats is better?

Hello,

I would like to order 27C160 EPROM but confuse between what to chose.
27C160 50F1
27C160 120F1
It's most be a speed for transfer data, no?
Whats is better, 50F1 or 120F1 ?

27C801 without SWAP BIN

Hi, Can we use .SMC file to program 27C801 without doing SWAP BIN ? If I keep all pin outputs like in schema : Will it works ? Or we allaways have to do SWAP BIN method ? https://thepoorstudenthobbyist.files.wordpress.com/2019/01/epromvsmaskrom3.png 27C801 pin1 = > 44 (A19) HiROM , 45 (A19) LoROM 27...

Re: SNES M27C801 2in1 HiRom games - Diagram for Flip-flop 74HC74

Guys,
One question.
Can I use this diagram on one EPROM 27C322 with 4 games of 8mbit (4x8) stitched to one 32MBIT file?

Re: New Reproduction PCBs Available!!

Hi everyone! I've just finished up work on some PCB designs and thought some of you here might be interested in them. I've got a handful of designs that I will be posting over the next couple of weeks but here is the first: https://i.etsystatic.com/16930660/r/il/c30f48/1663871300/il_570xN.166387130...

Re: I made a multi-function SNES PCB

Depends on the board, and I also tend to make the power traces a bit thicker than the others. But I normally just stick to something a bit bigger than whatever the manufacturer can guarantee. You don't want to hit their minimum. https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/5403/standard-pcb-trac...

Re: I made a multi-function SNES PCB

Great job!
I like it.

Can you tell me what size of track width do you setup ?
I trying to make Autorouter with EasyEDA, it's make me mad...

Re: Advice for tracks tolerance of Router SNES PCB

Eagle with default settigs of min track width = min track distance = 10 mils seem to be good compromise (those settings also are good for home prototyping). Although I rarely use 10 mils (only if I have to route tracks to dense packages, like TSOP or QFP). Normally I use 12 mils for signals and 20 ...

Re: Advice for tracks tolerance of Router SNES PCB

I wish someone would have laid out a perfect design when I was learning about all this....but then, I wouldn't have learned as much. My best mistakes were the ones I learned the most from. Contact your pcb shop and ask them what they recommend, or what their machines are capable of without extra co...

Advice for tracks tolerance of Router SNES PCB

Hello to guys & grils and to all community, I would like to ask you some advice about creating SNES custom/repro PCB. I'am looking for to avoid my future errors when I making "Router" of all tracks. I'am using EasyEDA tool to design my PCB. Always not sure about what width of tracks (t...

Re: (SNES)Help With Circuit for LoRom M27C322

HiROM games normally have /CART tied to /OE. Again, you can find all the answers in my explainer, I wrote it specifically for situations like this :) Ya know, it took me about five board revisions until I got it totally right ;) and even then I kept modifying the design. I think I'm on my fourteent...

Re: (SNES)Help With Circuit for LoRom M27C322

It's all detailed on my explainer :) But if you use a '139 without SRAM, but still wire everything except SRAM /CE to the '139 it'll work. The "bridge both if no '139" connects the /CART signal to /OE on the EPROM (or multiplexers). But you don't need to (and shouldn't) do that if you hav...

Normal operation, with OEM CIC "lock" and "key": "lock" and "key" have one of two regions, "PAL" and "NTSC". Both must be the same, or the "lock" won't let the SNES boot. Normal operation, with OEM CIC "lock" and SuperC...

Why?
If super cic are installed into SNES and on cartridge PCB, its Will not work?
