Re: Power Pad Schematic or circuit board
Hmm. Yeah I've read that too, that it's basically two controllers merged together. However there is a youtube video where someone opens the PowerPad up but doesn't show a lot. it looks like there's more stuff in there than just two NES controllers. Power Pad Schematic or circuit board
Hey guys.
really short and simple question: does anyone have a circuit diagram or high quality pictures of the NES Power Pad circuit board? As well as the parts that are installed on it. I've tried googling it but can't seem to find anything.
Thanks, Lukas

Re: What is 'Mapper Ctrl' Mirroring?
If I were to make a Repro which has horizontal mirroring, could I use a Mapper controlled donor cart?

What is 'Mapper Ctrl' Mirroring?
Hey guys,
So I've read about horizontal and vertical mirroring, what exactly those mean I'm not too sure about but what confuses me even more is when I see games on the NESCartDB which say "Mirroring: Mapper CTRL"
What does that mean?

Re: Making Homebrews / Repros with MMC5
Yeah I've looked into the prices of the famicom titles using MMC5 and some are affordable. I think I can justify sacrificing one to try it out at some point

Re: Making Homebrews / Repros with MMC5
Ok so basically: as of this point I shouldn't bother trying to make MMC5 reproductions, maybe at some point in the future we'll get affordable repro boards

Re: Making Homebrews / Repros with MMC5
Yeah I looked into that too. I checked the NES cart database and the only game out of the MMC5 games that I know is Castlevania 3. But I've seen someone sell a Castlevania 3 Repro and other NES titles (pirates and homebrews) that use MMC5.. how is that possible?

Making Homebrews / Repros with MMC5
Hey guys, I'm kinda new to the whole NES stuff when it comes down to its hardware and component level but I've recently decided to try my luck at making reproduction carts for myself. I've already read through some sites to learn the basics but now that I've decided which game I'd like to make a Rep...
