Re: NES games that will not be missed if destroyed
You should never destroy anything like a videogame console or cartridge because once its gone, its gone forever. They never will make any more of those. It annoys me to see the Angry Videogame Nerd destroying NES cartridges. He even had a Super Mario Bros. 3 cartridge with fake vomit spewing out of ...

I know of appeals and such but surely you can't just keep filing the same complaint(s) over and over again without it being either frivolous or harassing?tepples wrote:You can keep bringing up issues in appeals court and the like.

Can you repeatedly sue somebody like that? Surely once the case is settled once it is settled for all.Sik wrote:Well, courts kept siding with Bleem every time they got sued for making Bleemcast too. What Sony did was keep suing until Bleem ran out of money and was forced to go bankrupt.

Said patents would have expires as of 2014 so we're safe in that regard. What I find even more surprising is that a court took Connectix's side (I mean in this day of big businesses controlling everything etc.).

This. How often is NESBox even updated etc.? They got a cease and desist letter a few months backs and that must have hurt the developers.zzo38 wrote:Maybe they don't implement that input device?

Just goes to show what trouble can be made by having such an old OS. Coincidentally, WXP is 13 years old today.

I'm not sure how you'd read any of it as sarcasm? The "fear of compilers" bit was a joke, but not sarcastic. They really are scary awful beasts. (Aaaa, sorry, yet another thread is off topic now isn't it.) Sorry, I just wanted to make a Fry from Futurama meme and couldn't think of the 2nd...

Re: my nes emulator ffnes
I think it's just fear of entirely unnecessary effort. Not providing a binary means every user has to do the work of building it, instead of just one person. Or maybe it's fear of compilers? I think that's a justifiable fear. Fry: Not sure if agreeing with me, or being sarcastically disagre...

Please provide an .exe file. Some users won't have the ability to compile a C++ program or won't download source code out of fear of viruses (no offense). Won't download source code fearing viruses, but will download an executable? :) Alright, sucky answer. But an .exe would be convenient for users...
