removing labels for repros
so i was wondering what methods people use to remove labels from carts when making reproductions? i tried using a razor, but it was a pain. anybody tried goo gone?

well, not really. i get the title screen and as soon as i hit a button, it freezes. I am pretty sure it is the board because i tried to put glory of hercules on it first and it did the same thing...so then i tried zelda and found out it was the board. now summer is here and i have no amibiton to fix...

can you recommend a good desolder station? With simple desoldering pumps? I can't imagine how one can pull traces off with those... They barelly touch the board... No, it's because you have to heat the solder up so much first that this weakens the adhesion of the nearby traces to the board. I need t...

so how do you guys desolder the original nes rom chips? I usually cut the rom off with wire cutters, then take out the pins that were left, and finally use a solder sucker to suck out the remaining solder...but this is getting really old and is very time consuming. is there an easier way?
