Skrybe, Is it that you don't have an FDS drive? Because the FDSLoadr cable isn't too hard to make. Then again, sometimes even it dumps with errors, but it dumps many (most?) games relatively well. Kyuusaku, Are you copying disks drive to drive, or are you using something like Disk Hacker or a Bung u...

Is there a proper CPLD with enough capacity to eventually handle all the mappers out there? I understand if cost would increase for this, but I don't think any REAL gamers would care. ;-) Even FunkyFlashCart isn't going to be 100% compatible, so it sure would be cool for that to happen. I really hop...

Even less can be put onto north american carts; there's a lot more boards in the japan that were never make/sold here. So these games can't be made! Sure they can. Just put an adapter into an American casing ala early NES carts. Replace the rom chips on an orignal FC board of that game with the tra...

Cool project. I've always hoped someone would make this, but I guess the expansion port on the bottom has always been an issue. If someone could mass produce these connectors alone it would open up a whole new chapter of NES dev. But the dongle idea sounds awesome. If people can figure out just how ...

Memblers pretty much hit the nail on the head...you only really end up saving money when you've burned enough games to outweigh the cost of the equipment you'll need to do it. If you consider around $30 if you bought it off someone else to be the magic number, you'll definitely be burning a good amo...

Wow, killer interview. I'm surprised I hadn't seen that before. Neviksti, if you are reasonably sure there's a good chance you can get to the other layer, I say go for it. It would probably be pretty useful. Did anyone stitch these scans together? Would it be easier to get the other side if you got ...

Using FDSLoadr, and a RAM adapter you can indeed do without the disk system and disks, at least for strictly loading games to the NES. I used a two 60-72 pin adapters and one 72-60 pin adapter daisy chained together to reach the ram adapter. Honestly, though, it may be cheaper to use a famiclone, as...
