Re: RetroZone are the worst retrograme e-store (explanation)

After, I received back the package with the wrong product because they gave me a WRONG ADDRESS The address was correct. Maybe someone else with an order pre Sept can confirm the 343 Ulmer Ct address. Unfortunately it doesn't look like archive.org saved that page, but someone else posted it . My add...

I'll be ordering soon but bunnyboy could you answer this, is the SNES Powerpak hardware final? There's talk of 'PicoCore' this and 'if you used this pin-compatible version' that. I currently have no plans to change any of the hardware, unless a major unknown bug is found. Of course that could chang...

Possible but lots lower on the list. Too annoying to enter file names :)

PAR codes work on system ram. There has to be some form of Interrupt handler or code hijacking, in order to be able to update the system ram with the PAR code values, then a means to return back to the game code. That makes more sense, should be easy just to replace the nmi vector in the game to go...

Is it possible to save the entire state on real hardware? Someone said the SPC state isn't, how about other graphics/timers etc?

My only concern is that the only thing people seems excited about it is to try all their bootlegged game even though where on a dev forum . A sad day indeed. Where? Here! ;) Without those horrible people whose only goal in life is to steal from Nintendo, this system wouldn't be available for homebr...

Future SNES PowerPak work

Looking at what could be added to the current hardware, obviously BS-X support is high on the list. I have seen some docs but so far it looks like a mess. Some (one?) games also use a RTC, maybe that could be loaded/saved from a txt file? Not sure if that would be usable or just too annoying. Someon...

That was also added to the NES PowerPak, I got tired of entering in codes while testing :)

This is pretty nice and I am glad this kind of thing is finally a reality. What is the largest CF card that can be used? The largest card would be 2^28 sectors * 512 bytes, or 128GB, which doesn't exist yet :) That is a limit of the CF spec I used at the time which may be old now. I have used 16GB ...

Is the SNES power pak without CIC confirmed to work when using a CIC re-reouter, where you put a cart with the corect CIC for the CIC lines, and another cart for the game ? If you mean a T-slot, none of the currently available ones have all the pins connected so it will not work. The 2 wings on the...

:) Looks like it would have to go up to the 208 pin XC2S200 because the 100 isn't really available. The XC2S50 is likely a drop in replacement.

This was really a surprise so quickly after those pictures had been discovered. Those pictures were from the first proto board and had been posted since March :) A few other people claimed to have seen them but didn't post. Was fun to swap out the picts, but damn Google was too slow to update cache...

Your cartridge could have its own focus within the SNES clique. After all, one who wants a development cartridge will be looking for different features than one who just wants to play games. There's still plenty of ground to cover. Just like I am still looking at the Quickdev16. Except for the curi...

There is one thing that confuses me a little, why the need to supply pre create BRAM files for saves? I can understand that the NES has little resources to deal with this sort of thing but the SNES, even after loading the largest game out there there should be enough RAM left over on the cart to ho...

I would bet by anyone with limited space and hardware multiplier. That is why some chips would be better in a PIC, and things like the FX are just out. Someone will eventually put them on a huge chip but not something affordable for general products. Well what is the FPGA? XC2S15? Even that should ...
