OK, as far as I can tell, all the people here who are SURE there will be sound reproduction problems in some SNES games are the people who haven't got one of these latest units and haven't tested first hand. If one of the pickiest among you would please buy, or borrow, one and report back, the rest ...

I have read that thread. It's interesting because all the people who are SURE that the SNES games have/will have sound problems are all the people who KNOW this stuff but haven't actually used one of the darned things. Someone who's picky about this stuff needs to buy one of the blasted things, chec...

FC-TWIN NES compatibility
Now, it's assumed this relatively recent SNES/NES clone uses some form of NOAC for NES functions. Has anyone had a look inside this to see what kind of NOAC it uses? If it has compatibility on the high side of most NOACs it seems we have a new prize, what with SNES compatibility and all.

USA Toaster NES compatibility questions and modification
OK, so I'm sending my NEX back for a refund. So that means I need to rely on my toaster NES. What's the most reliable, lease kludgy way to play Japanese Famicom games on the system, and are there any compatibility issues/shortcomings I need to be aware of? My cart connector works pretty well but I'm...

I believe in the KISS philosophy. In order for Kevtris's project to ever have some possibility of coming into light in an affordable fashion others can take advantage of it's got to be simple. And given the attention to software compatibility, hardware compatibility is also very important. I would s...

Make that a 14-watt soldering iron. I probably shouldn't be let near anything electrical anyway, but certainly not with anything of 41 watts ;) So anyway, to pull this discussion back to the NEX, I hooked up my old NES toaster... Looks and sounds so much better. What was I smokin' when I posted my r...

For me, I think the most frustrating thing is that I have limited funds to throw at this hobby and, although I've got a 41 watt soldering iron, I'm no good at that sorta thing and I'm afraid of mucking around inside stuff I maybe can't afford to replace. I'm worried I'll just break the stuff. Bah! I...
