No, I know about Castlevania. It was the only MMC5 cart I had lying around. Gemfire will be here this weekend. I plan on using that cart.

You'd have to use two EPROM on a EKROM/ETROM/EWROM board, and rewire them so that the work with the MMC5. For the sound, just add resistors and capacities where the board have slots for (it even says the values), but the audio pin used is EXP 6 (pin 54) which is probably not the same as the power p...

just breed reproduction audio possible?

Since it's the MMC5 that's actually producing the audio how would you go about wiring up the EXT audio into the cartridge connector? OR what pin on the cartridge would to audio be coming out on?

Castlevania 3 rom hack on eprom

Just found out there is a rom hack for Castlevania 3 that puts back the naked statues. Wondering how you would wire up the eproms back into the board to have the hacked version on cart.

Help Making Eprom Cartridge SMB2j and/or The Goonies Please?

So far I've been able to make 3 carts with no problems. I've made Gryzor/Contra. FF2e and Tetris by Tengen. Plus I've made several Atari 5200 carts so I kind of know how eproms work. But I've run into problems making The Goonies and SMB2j. On The Goonies I've downloaded several roms and none of them...

Still the same problem. Sound works great. I can start the game I can move my guy and everything. But still the scrambled graphics. I'll probably just pick up a Famicom cart and use one of my Gryomite boards. Thanks for the help though. Would it matter if I disabled the CIC chip on board the nes? It...

Pretty sure I did. I got your contra cart working and several others. I don't know what I could be doing wrong. I used tnines to split the rom and burned it like any other rom. Put solder on the V pad. and cleaned off the H pad. Even tried it the other way around. Still nothing.

Could you point me in the right direction? I hate to be a pain in butt, but this one is really starting to aggrevate me. It's the one I can't figure out. I've tried the hm03 roms and none of them seem to work even though they say that it uses a cnrom board using tnines.

Don't understand about the A14 on the mapper. I know where A13 on the eprom is. But what pin would be A14 on the mapper. Or do I tie A13 to A14 on the eprom. Thanks for the help

Anyone know where to get the modified Goonies rom? I tried the one mentioned earlier in the thread and keep getting the same garbled graphics.
