I have the latest powerpak 1.20 mapper files, FDS driver and patched FDS bios in my /powerpak directory. Metroid FDS version still just freezes right before you start the game, and the option to save to FDS after holding reset for 2-3 seconds just doesn't come up. I also reformatted my CF card (FAT ...

Metroid works great here. Maybe you have a bad dump or a corrupt file. What's the name of the dump you are using? Also as I stated, I tried to save in Castlevania, as well as Kid Icarus, and after I saved and held Reset on the system for about 4 seconds, it didn't give me the option to save the gam...
