is the NES2 A/V mod worth it?

Does it TRULY provide better video and audio quality?

Or does it just ground the current modulator to A/V jacks?

Thanks!

Can anyone see the problems with the wiring diagram above? (by Tormenter)

I'd like to try these myself, but he says he is having lockup with garbled sprites.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Was anyone able to figure this out? I also have a Gemfire board and tried the info at bripro and the CHR info above. I get garbage on the screen and it locks.

Can anyone provide the pin outs if they have created this repro and/or give me suggestions to try?

Thanks!

I went ahead and force NTSC and it seems to run perfectly fine.

Maybe I won't have any trouble! :)

Thanks!

convert PAL to NTSC

I have the game The Firemen for the SFC. There was also a version released in EUR in English. I know it is possible to take the PAL rom and put it on a NTSC cart, but will it run properly? Is there anything more I'd need to do to the rom first?

Thanks!

Thanks, but the 4Mbit type has 3 VCCs. I've never seen that before. Usually aren't they on pin 32? What do I do with all 3?

Fire Emblem Thracia 776... 256Kb SRAM.. which donor?

What other carts are compatible and have 256Kb SRAM? Is there a list of specs of carts somewhere that I could refer to in the future?

Thanks!

Fire Emblem Monshou no Nazo.. what cart needs to be modified

FE3 is a LoROM, FastROM, 64Kb SRAM and 32Mbit game. According to http://snesdev.romhack.de/, lowrom, fastrom games can be modified to work using: http://snesdev.romhack.de/thg.htm It says to use Equinox for example. My question is, Equinox is a LoROM, SlowROM, 64Kb SRAM and 8Mbit game. Understandabl...
