You might want to check out d4s's N-Warp Daisakusen Sourcecode. It contains a full-fledged SPC700 mod player. Have fun. :)

I've never heard that Star Fox 2 should be on a GSU-1 board and not GSU-2. (...) It sounds like Stunt Race FX is the best game for you to use (...). But you do realize that Stunt Race FX is GSU-1, do you not ...? ;) I've heard that the Mario Chip has the clock for the chip inside the cartridge wher...

But, on this tutorial guy uses a stunt race FX cart has got superFX chip and this chip is the same in starfox PCB.... No, it isn't. Starfox uses the very first revision of the Super FX, labelled "MARIO CHIP 1" (or "MARIO CHIP-1-100" on the PCB itself). All other Super FX games e...

Thanks for the hint, MottZilla. This works for the DX2 as well! :D

Usually if you have an oxidized case (eg it is yellow), you have a rev. 1. Otherwise it's probably a rev. 2. No. The materials used in the process of SNES casing construction don't correlate with CPU revisions. As I said, there are probably only Japanese SFC systems with rev. 1 CPUs. If there are s...

The glitch only occurs on revision 1 CPUs. I didn't bother to state this because I was under the impression there was only one revision which made it out into the market. Yes/no? Only very early NTSC models have a rev. 1 CPU (i. e., only pre-1991 Super Famicoms, AFAIK). All later models have rev. 2...

I've built several custom SNES cartridges in the past and so far, I've never ever had to erase the SRAM in order to get the new game to work on the "donor" PCB. the game cannot boot up while the data is in there. What makes you believe that? i must delete the sram, cause its full of garbag...

And work it does! You rock, kyuusaku! :D As your version is not very different from Siudym's design, I just had to alter the /CE and /OE connections accordingly. For the record, I tied pin 1 of the 139 to pin 4 of the MAD-1. Works like a charm! :) Thanks a lot! I feel like trying out your &qu...

Wow, thank you all for your suggestions and new schematics! :) There might be some bus conflicts. So, do you mean /ROMSEL should be connected to the EPROM's /CE directly (and only), and /RD to the 257s' /OE only (while leaving the EPROM's /OE pin at GND as shown on kyuusaku's design)? Also, when usi...

27C322 to SNES bus?

Hello there! Glad to have found this forum, where there are so many well-known retrogaming hardware experts around! Having some SNES software and hardware experience myself (translation, ASM, console & cart modding), this is the place I've been looking for. :) Well, let's head on to business. I ...
