From what I've seen those TSOP flash adapters do fit inside the cartridge shell without any changes. Technically you don't even need the little adapter, you could wire the TSOP flash chip by hand to the cartridge ROM socket. But working with and programming TSOP chips isn't that easy. Also definite...

Here are the instructions to make both CIC enable/disable switch, and PAL/NTSC switch. http://mmmonkey.co.uk/console/nintendo/snes-switches-1.htm Basically it's just grounding some pins on CIC and both PPUs. Most NTSC games will work on PAL SNES as long as PPUs work in NTSC mode. This mod makes pre...

There is like a 99 percent chance the legs will fall off before you get a bad write on an eprom from any kind of chip rot or whatever. Same thing for flash eprom too. I already broke one leg by using it too much. Maybe I was not careful enough thought. But the point is you can use them nearly forev...

What is LJ65? LJ65 is a homebrew NES game that closely resembles Tetris, except with more responsive controls and a real vs. mode. Well I just found out that the repro is only $55 dollars from retrozone, I was under the impresison it was much more (like around $100). $55 is respectable, if they don...

It would be possible in theory to mapper-hack NWC to run on a less-rare board, but the automatic switching among games would need a lot more programming work than the Forbidden Four. If your friends play NWC, what strategies do they use? Do they blow through SMB1 and Rad Racer to play more Tetris? ...

nwc repro outside of the retrozone version?

Hey, Some friends asked me yesterday to make them NWC repros. Is there any hacks or patches to get the NWC running in any form on a common mapper board or is that repro from retrozone the only option? I could have sworn I've seen others showing off nwc repro's before that one came for sale on retroz...

Yeppers, He plays duck hunt and loves it (he's almost 6). MY Daughter is 17 and she prefers the new current gen games.

Indeed it's no fun soldering or desoldering really small parts. But atleast now you shouldn't have problems with regional lockouts anymore. Would I be able to do similar with a smurfs PAL cart to run on my NTSC (locked removed) SNES console? I removed the lockout chip on the snes and ran a wire fro...
