That's strange because the money spent on a EPROM programmer, EPROMs, and donor cartridges I could easily see that adding up to more than the cost of a PowerPAK fairly fast. I suppose it depends ofcourse on the number of games more than anything else though. Most of my cash goes to my children. Dad...

The mod might work but you'll need to do a bit of rewiring, especially for the /WR pin of the RAM. And with the powerpak out for some time I don't see why there is still SO many people asking how to do mods... anyways. I ask these questions cause I'm dirt poor and the only way I can even build cart...

There is a CHR write signal the console sends to the cart when CHR-RAM is supposed to be written to. For obvious reasons, CHR-ROM games don't use that pin. You need to connect it to your RAM chip, but the problem is that some boards don't even have the pin on the cart. It's pin number 56. Look it u...

I think getting SMW reproduced on cart with a normal mapper like say MMC3 instead of that crazy Mapper 90 is\would be like a holy grail in the pirate port game scene for the NES. I've always wondered why SMW and\or Bio Miricle AKA Baby Mario have never been hacked to a more common mapper. They both ...

I wired a 6264 SRAM chip to it using a funky setup I got from the docs on how to add the chr ram to a TKROM mmc3 board that puts a 28 pin ram into a 32 pin chr slot. I was using a plain jane TLROM board to make this rockman no lightboard. Can I just pin for pin drop the the SRAM into the 28 pin slot...

Add battery to Metroid?
Hey,
Is it just as simple as adding the battery to the spot on the PCB to make a metroid PCB use the battery to make say FF2e or is there more to it?
