Nestopia does.
I know you can map controller buttons to the keyboard but can you actually capture the whole keyboard in your code?

And has anyone got some keyboard-capturing code? :)

Memblers, I had a look at IDA but it seemed to be stuck in 8086 mode, couldn't work out how to switch it to 6502 output. Looked interesting though. Just tried IDA for the first time and had the same problem. Change this line in IDA.CFG: DEFAULT_PROCESSOR = "M6502" Alternatively you can ca...

Ask loopy first though :)

Anyway, I guess he's probably in a different time zone to me and likely asleep at the moment.

Dreaming about macro bugs :)

loopy,

I'm not sure if you're getting my replies. They all seem to end up in my "outbox" folder and not in my "sentbox" folder.

That could be normal, I'm not sure :)

For an interactive disassembler, IDA is a good one. It's a commercial program, but there's a version of it on the site here. I don't know what limits there are in this free version (mostly CPU support I think, but this one supports 6502). http://nesdev.com/idafw.zip Memblers, I had a look at IDA bu...

I've got Parallels Desktop on my MacBook so I *could* run a Windows-based one. Any recommendations? :)

Interactive Debugger/Disassembler for OSX?

As per the Subject line - does anyone know if one exists? I've searched around the net but turned up nothing yet. There's a couple of command-line disassemblers that I compiled and got working but that's about it.

Thanks,

Neil

Neil: Thursday sounds fine. I start work on Monday and will probably only have Thursday if this works out. Yeah. loopy has become a regular again. As for a time, I know things get later for you than they are here. Afternoon here (12-1PM -5GMT)) or evening when people get off work is fine (5-6PM -5G...

Oh I see "loopy" is on there too.

Hopefully he'll be able to join in - I've some questions to ask myself about ASM6 (my preferred assembler)

Right, I've got Snak installed and working and I've just been over to embarrass myself (with my lack of IRC skill) at #nesdev. So, I was thinking maybe this Thursday? That's about the only free day (night) I have this week. I'll let B00daW do all the hard work, just let me know a time (GMT) that you...

Welcome, Neil. :D Since you're here, just tell us a time that's good for you and I'll moderate our Q&A session that you choose. :) The channel will not get "noisy". I assure you. ;) Let me have a think. I'll also need some IRC software for OSX - any recommendations? I've seen mIRC men...
