Tried to mess with this again lately and got it too work. MaarioS was right. The EXT pinout online in the tg16 service Manuel is different than what the hucard pin out reads. Had to open it up and test each pin on the hu card connector and eventually got it to start the game.

Re: Pro Action Relplay upgrade flash size..
That latest version of pseudo Saturn Kai iso flasher supports these chips now. Was able to flash 2 banks with the highest address line tied top vcc and vss.
Pretty simple but if anyway wants to try.

Re: TSROM dono for TLROM game?
These are on INL boards so I assume the rewiring isn't needed.
Man, why are NES so much more complicated than SNES boards><

TSROM dono for TLROM game?
Would the board have to be rewired or is just removing or disabling the 8K PRG RAM enough?

Pro Action Relplay upgrade flash size..
So some of you may have heard of Pseudo Saturn which flashed over your original Action Replay or Gameshark code to boot backups. Only Issue is codes and save backup will no longer be accessible. To get around this figured I'd replace the original 2x AT29C010A(128K) with 2 W27C020(256k) and swap A17 ...

Double check your top pins that need to be moved in for a gq-4x.

Re: Theory of rom chips and idea for a tool similar to swapb
Thanks for the details lidnariq, that home made rom that was built was interesting. I tried to use a pin swap program for nes roms, made by FARID, and used a 512kb test file then did a file compare of the two. Thought there would be like chunks that are just swapped in a different order for each pin...

Re: SNES Repro Help: 12mbit ROM
Yep wrong section, there's a /reproduction section for this stuff now. Most people around here are nice enough and don't really care about something like this though. I don't think swapbin is able to handle 2mb swaps properly. I could be wrong here but anything thats over 2MB wont swap properly even...

Theory of rom chips and idea for a tool similar to swapbin
When a rom is burned is the data carried into the D0-D7 lines and broken up into 8 parts? I want to get a better idea of how the data is arranged and try to write a tool similar to what swapbin does. It would swap the data of a hirom game(that doesn't use sram) into a rom that could be programed ont...

Re: Understanding a 139 decoder to wire up 2 roms.
I think I understand now Tepples. 139 decoders work on SNES because the hardware can address more than the 4MB address range. This wont work on a Genesis because there is nothing to signal to the 139 that it needs an address over the 4MB threshold, is that correct? If this is correct then what signa...

Re: Understanding a 139 decoder to wire up 2 roms.
In the pictures posted, the one of the pcb with the two mask roms removed uses 42 pin chips. This would lead me to think they are two 2MB roms at least. Also another member asked about this once, Ice Man in the other retro dev forum. I sent him a PM and he said he got it working with a 139 but forgo...

Understanding a 139 decoder to wire up 2 roms.
So I'm playing around with this 139 decoder and a couple 27c322's to try and make an 8MB Genesis cart but so far have not got it to work. Some questions have come to mind about how this should be wired up. This is going off a setup for a 6MB Snes game as a reference which has the address input line ...

Build an eprom eraserr for about $7
Received some m27c322 eproms the other day but they were not blank unfortunately. Money is tight so it was either spend ~25 for one from the states or ~15 to get one frrom China in 30 days. I read that germicidal lamps are the same bulbs in an eraser, but how would I power one? Found a 9w UV germici...
