Check out my (and another guy's) post on tototek: http://www.tototek.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2686 Thanks for the link... I was told that it is possible to perform disk-to-disk copies without any additional software. Is that correct, or is MGD.exe / MGDLinker required to perform simple disk-to-di...

I've been thinking of things to add to my EXP board proj3ct, and something like this would also be possible, albeit within certain limitations. You could probably route a simple mapper design via the EXP/CPU pins, and of naturally, you can add additional RAM there as well. I pondered this as a possi...

WTB: SNES PowerPak
I was just wondering, before I order one from Brian/RetroUSB, if anybody wants to sell their SNES PowerPak.
If so, PM me. I'll wait a day or two, and then I'll order one directly.

MGD1 Problems... Any help is Appreciated
Hi All, I've been trying to do a couple disk-to-disk copies on my MGD1 that I finally received from ToToTek,and I'm having some issues in my attempt to do this with the unit as a standalone device. This is the procedure that I'm using: 1 - Attach RAM-Adapter to MGD1 and connect to FDS 2 - Apply powe...

Interesting ideas. Anyone up for a collaboration? I've got another 6.5 KB of CHR and 14.5 KB of PRG to fill. The trouble is that I don't live in Russia, and Ca H4 e 3 hasn't been active lately, so I don't know what kind of Russian celebrities I'd include. How about this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org...

If you want a clone that us compatible with more games, then you need one that is pure HW-based, not a NOAC. The NOAC systems have problems with MMC6, some MMC4 and many non-licensed mappers, like Tengen, and of course, the PowerPak. The older clones from the 80s/90s are essentially Famicom hardware...

UPDATE: I really wanted to wait until I had the final part in hand to update this thread again, but it's nearing the end of the month and I want to keep everybody in the light on what's been happening lately... There was a (hopefully final) delay caused by tooling for the socket's edge-connectorL It...

I immediately recalled reading about Lunix some years back, and while it could be fun as a toy, it isn't an excellent idea, primarily because the difficulty in porting it versus writing something from scratch likely isn't a fair exchange.. If you want to make a (non-GUI) OS for the NES/FC hardware, ...

Can you provide any sort of visual information on what such adapters might look like? Even ms paint diagrams would be fine. I am working on figuring out what kind of casing to provide. If anybody wants to discuss this with me, along with features of a customizable expansion base, please ring me on ...

OK I bought a 72 to 60 Pin converter and it won't work with the powerpak on my original famicom. Here's a link to the pictures. http://picasaweb.google.com/Excel.Mitsuo/FamicomPowerPak# and for the person with the yobo i found this i'm not sure if it'll help you. http://bakutendo.blog87.fc2.com/blo...

I will do what I can, but what you want to see is a mystery to me. I am not sure if you want to see the present, incorrect connector, my hacked up and modified connector, or the final product, which I should have in hand in 2-4 weeks. It llooks like a blue, plastic, 40-pin socket, so I don't know wh...

If you are going to quote me, please be accurate. I said that I had ideas of my own and would be making expansion devices, plus selling the connectors. I did not say what they were, but a DA-15 expansion is one of them, as you may piece together by my asking for DA-15 port sources. The hardest part ...

Writing an RPG is really something that requires a team effort... I might be interested in helping plus assisting to organize it; lately, I was pondering on porting some old PD Apple ][ and C64 TBAs to Family BASIC. Does anybody know how to convert Family BASIC code into Mapper-0 ROMs? I have Family...
