Those would be hilarious if they weren't so sad.

See I wonder about the effectiveness of these name-embedding methods. If you are filling blank space in the ROM with random numbers, and then hiding a secret encrypted message (the person's name) in there, that can easily be worked around by profiling the ROM in the emulator. I.E., playing the game ...

Yeah, that audio has serious problems.

Easy solution: Take an NES CPU, solder some SRAM directly to it, and a battery with a long lifetime. Then seal the whole thing in some sealant that is sufficiently hard (so that any attempts to cut it would result in destroying the chips inside, or disconnecting the battery). Also, run the battery w...

I think the Sega Saturn and Playstation 1 are the most complex, actually.

I prefer vampire killer. Others I like are:

The Tragic Prince from SotN.
Eneomaos Clock Tower from CoD
Anti-Soul Mysteries Lab from LoI
Abandoned Castle
Theme of Simon - Man, this one really sets the theme for Castlevania IV. You know the game is going to be awesome.

I'm going with DoS for this one, with NES as a close second.

I'm just now barely thinking about what I want to make, but I can already see that art and music are going to be hard to come by. My solution for art is to make everything in Blender 3D, render it in frames, and scale it down to sprites and metasprites and backgrounds. My solution for music is to ta...

I'm not arguing with any of those points. Windows 7 does boot up as fast as XP and shuts down even faster. It's game performance and random 30-second freezups that annoy me.

No disrespect to the previous poster on the subject but it's funny how people say that Win 7 is so slow compared to XP for games etc. People were saying the same thing when XP came out and said how Win98 was better too! Just like Vista, right? After a ton of updates, it's better, but still not as g...

Linux developer: "We added in a new file system, and tweaked the kernel's task switching, and improved the boot times by 12 seconds!"

User: "But I still can't play my DVDs without learning how to use the command line."

And this is why linux on the desktop is still a joke.
