Re: A special NSF please!

Hello. I'm new to the forums. 8) I really like to listen to the "Arabian Dream Sherezaado" NSF, but i couldn't find it in any site or collection. I ripped the NSF for Arabian Dream Sherazaado just a moment ago. Over-all I would say the music is worse. I'll post the rip in a day or t...

Is there a good rip of Nightshade around the 'net somewhere? The only one I can find is sped up entirely too fast. Thanks. EDIT: It seems to play alright in PAL mode on some emus I guess. Probably since it was developed abroad hehe Anyway, some emus handle it fine, some don't. So, nevermind I guess...

If it helps, you can use MAWS: http://www.mameworld.net/maws/index.php?src=srch.php%3Fpage%3D1%26cpu%3D117%26cpu2%3D117%26by%3Dname This pages shows all games which use the N2A03 processors, like the Famicom/NES. Most of them are the VS. series or the Playchoice-10 though. Alright, thanks for the l...

I was wondering where a few of those arcade NSFs came from, in the current archive. Now I know. That would be nice if someone made a list of drivers that can possibly be ripped in NSF form from certain arcade games. I am unfamiliar with arcade games, so I probably would not be able to make an accura...

Re: NSF format extension for PCM, IRQ, etc.

The NSF format has some limitations that prevent some music from being ripped. Most notable is music that plays PCM samples manually by hogging the CPU and writing to $4011 (Battletoads, Skate or Die 2 are two). My DMC saw wave technique which uses an IRQ is also not possible. There are several way...

NotTheCommonDose wrote:Can you put a column that tells weather there is expansions for your new NSF?
If you are talking to me. I'm not sure if I should place an expansion sound collumn, since most are not. If a NSF uses expansion sound, it goes on the front NSF page.

I just uploaded the fix a moment ago, I had it done yesterday. Let me know if this rip sounds a bit better. Also, I have included the sound effects in the rip. Read the .FRM for more details about the rip.

I still occasinally update that NSF listing file. I definately keep track of the NSF pack still, but I haven't had much chance to use the comp I keep certain info on. I'll be updating it in a moment, to account for any changes in the contents. You're free to keep and distribute the list I have, but...

In Cartoon Workshop, track 10 is messed up, it plays in the wrong 'instrument'. Should be the same 'instrument' as track 9. Tracks 12 and 13 are glitch tracks that play parts of other songs. DMC works fine. Sound effects might be tricky to rip, they use a different entry point than songs. I've been...

Did Bucky O'Hare really have 8 composers? I mean, the soundtrack was amazing and all, but... :P (sorry about the .FRM file...this was just a fix of the existing rip from Zophar's I did a while back, the .FRM is the same so I didn't bother uploading it) I also doubt that the game has 8 composers. I ...

I'm going to wait for Dwedit to answer since he's familiar with the game and the internal workings of the ROM.

from http://www.zophar.net/nsf/ Bucky O Hare (C)1992 Konami Industry CO.,ltd. by T. Sumiyama, N. Nakazato, H. Suganami, A. Fujio, K. Kimura, Y. Yamada, M. Ootani, K. Shimoide ZD used a .frm information submission system. The reason the names are in the .FRM file is obvious when you see them. Some p...

Track 7 in "Bucky O'Hare (1992)(Konami).nsf" is busted since it was ripped from a bad dump; the triangle channel eventually glitches and goes out of sync. I fixed it a long time ago, but apparently nobody noticed/cared. :\ (note: needs updated tags) I'm going to talk to Knurek about this ...

Wow! When was cartoon workshop ripped? I had it half-ripped, with a stripped rom capable of playing any tune from the game. Looks like there's a flaw in one track, and there are two glitch tracks that don't exist. Hey, I just noticed your post. I ripped Tiny Toons Cartoon Workshop not long ago. Fir...

I just fixed Robocop 3. No longer uses mirrored addresses, header cleaned up, tunes and sound effects are in order. The rip is now compatible with most, if not all players. I will be releasing this fix later.
