Re: [POC] Expand MMC3s Addressbus to allow 1MB PRG on real H
Not when solely increasing the size of PRG. M2 is only needed for 1- when something is mapped between $4020 and $7FFF or 2- when as a clock source. Yes, you are right. /ROMSEL is the logical NAND of Phi2 and CPU A15, so when /ROMSEL is 0, A15 and Phi2 are 1 certainly : A15 Phi2 /ROMSEL 0 0 1 0 1 1 ...

Re: Mapper 182 Hardware?
Thanks for the answer
So rebuilding the hardware needs some glue logic with TTLs?
How about converting the game to Mapper 4?
Is it just editing / replacing the reg-ports?
And un-scramble the data which is written to them?
Or there is something more than that?

Mapper 182 Hardware?
I want to make a repro from Super Donkey Kong (Unl) [!].nes which is Mapper 182 It seems it is very similar to a regular TLROM / Mapper 4 game, but the address / data lines are swapped on MMC3 side. How the data lines are swapped seems simple. But I can't understand how they swapped the address line...

Re: Understanding a 139 decoder to wire up 2 roms.
I don't know anything about Sega hardware at all. But I know to control 8MB / 16Bit memory you need a proper A21 signal coming from the CPU (or mapper or whatever else) If there is no such a signal on Sega then you have to find out how to make that signal from decoding other signals. Once you have t...

Re: Authentic Japan dev environment
That is why I suggested to invite someone who made a licensed nes game back then :
Inviting a game designer
But unfortunately I don't have enough reputation to invite him here.

Re: Best vBlank Wait with $2002?
I put that BIT $2002 / BMI in the vblank wait routine to skip any vblanks which is on its halfway and then wait for a new vblank to get a full vblank period.
Is it useless for that purpose?
Also NMI is disabled all the time.

Re: I've migrated to Windows 7
I had tried a few times to migrate to other OS (win7,Win8, Ubuntu) but after a few days I got back to Windows XP
I feel that win7 or win8 is good for the girls who want to use their luxurious laptop or tablet for playing some MP3 music and dance with it.
LONG LIVE XP!
