First of all thanks for your informative post which goes beyond of my first question. So you could by his board with the CPLD already programmed to act like the MMC1 for you. Or steal the part off a donor board To be honest with you, I don't like none of these ways, because my real aim is research, ...

Can you draw a complete schematic on the paper? Then I can design it in Proteus. I will give you full credit.

Don't you think making a SNES controller and cutting the extra stuff to use with NES is much more simpler than your proposal? http://www.gamesx.com/grafx/snesnesicschem.gif Or even making one of these : http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/pcb_diagrams/snes_diagram1.jpg http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/...

I have a Micro Genius controller :

Image

Inside it there is an IC :

UM6582
0229

It is DIP14.

I want to make one, like that.

What is the full name of 4021? Is it the same as UM6582?

I have two AX5202P (MMC3 pirate clone). I want to know what exactly is AX5202P. Is there anything inside it which can be dumped? So that we can write it to ATmega series.

Please consider an new version of Famicom along the way.

I have a Famicom clone which uses a UM6561F-2 (QFP) as a CPU and other necessary chips! I have a plan for reverse engineering of its schematic too.

As I tested several times while WE connected to +5V chip information changes in some strange way. Since game runs OK while WE is floating and hash checks returns no error, I'd rather not connect WE to anything.

Anyway I appreciate you for sharing your information.

I tested it several times : When WE is connected to +5V chip is ready to reprogram. A small slip on any connection causes loss of data in the chip! It is very easy to find out that the data had been changed : After playing for a while I had noticed that the game tends to stop working on some screen....
