Yeah, bend the pins up, solder wires to them.
Noise isn't a problem at all, just make sure you connect any unused pins (like PRM to vdd or vcc).

2A03's core
Is the 2A03s CPU core based off the 6502 or 65C02?
Reason I'm asking, is because the BIT on the 65C02 has three additional addressing modes (zero page indexed by X, absolute indexed by X, and immediate).

I was hoping this was going to be easier to implement than writing it in software, and on the up side I would have more CPU cycles to work with. However, things aren't quite going as I had hoped. I got ahold of a oscilloscope and made sure that the crystal is working at the correct frequency. My add...

NES UART Project (help appreciated!)
Ok, so I decided to put a 16450 UART into an NES. I'm having a bit of trouble getting it to work properly, and was wondering if someone could spot an error in my schematics. I built the thing already, tried initializing the UART and writing to it. So far no go. The basis of my design came off the C6...

I hate using zeners to drop voltage. It wastes power, makes more heat and there is a possibility that the zener will short out and burn up whatever it is your powering. Some semiconductor manufacturer did a study on zeners, and found that 99% of the time they short out, not go open. I've seen 3.3V r...
