Hmmm, what about hooking up a bluetooth spp module to transfer data?
They can be had for about $6:

These things are pretty easy to interface with AVRs, I've used them for a few of my projects.

I think comparing the NES to the C64 would be more fitting. But seeing as how the C64 is basically a console with a keyboard and some IO chips added. I know the Amiga was originally suppose to be a game console too, but again, commodore turned it into a computer... Didn't the C64 start out as a game...

Re: 240p NTSC
Ah! This explains why a scan doubler makes my NES look so much better on my LCD screen. On another note, this also explains why most LCD TVs make the NES graphics look like ass: They're trying to deinterlace a progressive signal.

A while ago I started a project to use USB instead of a parallel port to to communicated with the FDS adapter/drive. I was going to use an AVR. Then later I found the V-USB library, and also when I moved, I lost a hard drive with some of the code on it... After I discovered that the PowerPak can pla...

I never thought that would be compatible without wiring all kinds of connections to the Expansion port. There's nothing special about the FDS. It only uses the cartridge connector on the Famicom. If you want the FDS sound channel you can do some internal soldering on the NES. I solved the extra FDS...

Off topic, but the post about plugging in carts while a system was on... I once plugged in a cartridge into a Commodore 128 while it was on. After removing the cartridge and powering off and on typing on the keyboard would print out the incorrect characters that corresponded to the keys. (Eg, typing...

Doctor PC Jr from Bung
I've been looking around for a while, and haven't had much luck. I guess most of them have been picked up by collectors.
How rare are these things?
And how much do they usually go for?
