I found some LH2833-15 DRAM chips for the FDS RAM adapter.
If anyone wants/needs one, let me know.
I have no idea what the pinout for this is, or even if it can be replaced with SRAM. (Probably not easily because I think the address lines are multiplexed like most DRAM).

BTW, if you're looking for really cheap RS232, check this out:
http://www.larsen-b.com/Article/370.html
The voltage levels are already 5V, so no extra parts.
I don't know if it's as reliable or fast as the FTDI stuff, but it looks cheap enough to try.

I've written some 6502 assembly, but man, it is tedious. I haven't tried tackling a big program yet, but plan to eventually. I do a lot of AVR programming in C and I think it has spoiled me. Maybe I haven't written enough assembly to write it fast enough. I've heard of people writing assembly code a...

USA is not even close when is comes to most murders in a country. Sucks to be El Salvador http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate The only reason the USA is so high is because of DC and Puerto Rico (which are not even states!) District of Columbia 24.0 Puerto Ric...

Reading a serial stream using an AVR - advice requested
So here's what I want to do: Read a serial stream using an AVR (ATMega8) (serial stream protocol details here): http://www.guysoflidar.com/files/v1_protocol.pdf I'm quite familiar with the AVR, just never had to write a software serial decoder before... Would you suggest I use the device's hardware ...

Game design 101 - questions
So I'm working on an Arkanoid clone (with powerups, enemies, etc) as a programming practice project. Using XNA/C# to do it (because I know C# and dot net). What is a good method to detect which side of the block the ball hit (either X or Y) to reflect the balls corresponding velocity (either X or Y)...
