Thanks, this should do the trick! One last question - songs in the "music data" after the header have -start- and -end- offset? I'm thinking about cutting the unused out to save space...

Thanks for the replies, but the only programming language I'm a little familiar with is (was) turbo Pascal :?
So yes, I am looking for a piece of software that can do that, windows command line type would be sufficient... Or at least some way to cut the NSF file in hex-editor if that's even possible.

Extract 1 song from NSF "album"

Hello, anyone can guide me on how to save one song (as *.nsf) from a common *.nsf file containing many songs? (for example from this site: http://www.zophar.net/music/nsf.html )
Thanks...

I like the button log idea, I had something like that in my mind. Keeping it simple. Updating the finished compilation software due to the differences between games seems normal... But developing something like that would be probably easier for the powerpak first (although I would like the idea bett...

Question about Gameplay speedrun on real hardware

Hello I hope this topic wasn't discussed here before, but are there any projects that implemented speed-runs / or any other runs to an actual NES ROM? I mean like changing the demo run in SMB to run somebody's actual gameplay (there's the game genie code for enabling the sound in the SMB demo run AO...

Thanks for the comperhensive speculation on this matter! The thought about the cart not working correctly from the beginning is not that crazy. The seller was kind of suspicious... BUT I am thinking now about trying to run this cart on one of my many fami-clones, maybe this cartridge was built expli...

So according to the garbage on the screen, you think it's only some short circuit or a bad trace? Because I have explicitly checked (visually) the PCB and didn't see anything wrong. Those 3 big chips are nearly identical, I must check the traces only to find out which one is the PRG or CHR or SRAM. ...

Finally my 74HC670 arrived, so I exchanged all ICs that were replaceable on the board, but with no luck. So I prepared a presentational website with all problematic games shown: -removed from my page to save web-space, contact me for the pictures if needed- I have one question - the rom of this cart...

Your programmer does not support PALs but it supports some newer replacements--PALCE, PEEL and GAL. Thanks for finding that out for me, I was a bit confused about those specs. Most likely though even if your programmer supported PALs, the PAL would be protected from reading as its a common practice...

Help with PAL16L8 IC

Hello I recently aquired a nice pirate famicom cartridge with lots of different games, but some of them had garbled graphics.. So I took the cartridge and preheated all the contacts on the back side. Some of the games are now working flawlessly, but not all of them. So I'm thinking that some of the ...

No, I just didn't wanted to say "developement board" because this board can be from a manufacturing run of cartridges that got programmed later in the process, and not be used solely for a developement purpose.
