Sound good to me! You don't even have the include the socket, people that want it will easily be able to find one and people that doesn't need one are still going to be able to solder the cable directly.

Well I didn't think it would be adding cost to it. Personally I would prefer having a place to solder the socket otherwise I'll have to live with a dangling socket not attached to board. No big deal but I wouldn't want to use it with a directly soldered USB cable as I have multiple device that use t...

About the USB connection, it would be nice if the pcb still had the contact to solder a USB socket for those that would prefer that to soldering the wire directly.

The corruption pattern can change when I power cycle or reset the NES. The picture of the menu after the mode is one of the lucky time it wasn't so bad. I even was able to briefly get an almost perfect menu yesterday but when I booted a game is was as unplayable. I tough it might be the connection w...

I did test for continuity and everything seem good. As for the pattern there are not really horizontal, it really depend because the corruption can vary on the menu. As for lowering voltage I'm not really sure how to achieve that safely. But one thing is that I managed to get an almost perfect menu ...

Ok, finally got the ram after a long delay partly caused by me ordering directly from the link posted without looking at the detail. Ended up ordering the TSOP version so I had to redo the order once I got the first one. I swapped the ram chip for the new one. Lifted pin 32 to connect it to 5v . Cor...

I would be interested in having the space to solder a famicom connector. I always end up with pirate FC cart that I would be happy to have some way of connecting to the dumper without the use of an adapter. If you can find the space I think it would be useful for some. Look at Farid, he almost only ...

Not sure if this is old news or off-topic but there is a pirate famicom game with a pretty cool DDR-like game called Street Dance that seem to be doing some of the things you guys are discussing about.. I was kind of blown away when I tried it... You can see a video of it http://www.youtube.com/watc...

My tototek flash cart should arrive shortly and I will be sure to test it out when it does. Then we will have more info on where this behavior come from and if it's something caused by powerpak itself or something else.

Not everyone speak bad french in Quebec, I speak very good french myself because my mom taught me properly. Also, Montréal isn't the capital of Québec, the city of Québec is actually the capital of the province of Québec:) Also, I agree that it is not really a dialect, just a slight modified version...

Yes, I did mean having the 2 side lining up properly :) English is not my native language and sometime I write or say something using a syntax that would be ok in my language but isn't in English. I always thought that etching double-sided pcb at home would be quite complicated but I guess I should ...
