That looks like it is an intel flash chip? Or perhaps its just a flux smudge that looks like a big "i".. If it is an intel chip, I guess that would explain the different carrier design. Perhaps a 28F320?

Not I, but that looks to be a slightly different layout for the TSOP board as the pads are much smaller than the ones I have seen. It would also appear to be a Laen board as it looks purple to me.

I have not carefully gone over the original designs, but they should be basically the same as the BuyICNow Type III adapter. The Type III board is the correct one to take a pre-programmed 29F032 and mount it on an SNES board. You can also program it with that board using an adapter such as the one I...

It must, otherwise it could not have programmed your TSOP originally.

Is this an actual Willem or a "Willem-TrueUSB" like the GQ-4X?

He = me. That is my site, and if you look at the adapter, it is clearly marked that those are the A19-A21 lines. There has been discussion on this before as well. http://nesdev.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?p=87583#87583 It is also worth noting that several of your questions were also asked in that thread. ...

What sort of detail do you need? You put the tsop carrier on the adapter, and the adapter on the programmer.

For your "Type I" tsop adapters, you will need to bridge the WE pin, but I do not have the detail on that, as I do not have any of those adapters.

any speed of the 29F032 will be fine. the lower the number, the faster it is. The SNES cannot access it as fast as the limit of either one, so anything lower than say, 150 would work under all circumstances.

no, I mean, the one that you are using to connect the TSOP chip to your SNES boards. Is this from BuyICNow? Which version are you using?

I had issues with software version 6.11 and 6.13 with my GQ-3X, and I downgraded to version 5.03 which has worked fine for me. It might be worth trying. You can download it from MCUMall here: http://www.mcumall.com/downloads/download.asp?DownloadID=50 Otherwise, it seems that your verify fails in th...

Yes, there is a "Double Write" function in the MCUMall software, I would give it a try. Otherwise, how are you jumpering the A19-21 lines? I do not believe that the GQ-4X has the additional address lines as headers by default. I seem to remember seeing an adapter to give you that header......

I leave it at BIN and the rest is 0's. Are you programming these on the carrier boards with the willem adapter, or are you programming them directly before soldering to the carrier? What type of chip is this? I would double and triple check that all of the A lines are soldered well, it could be that...

I wonder if the issue was localized to your programmer, and not to the whole version. Perhaps a defective logic chip somewhere on there? Its been a while since I have seen an original willem adapter, but I seem to remember a number of 74 series chips, and perhaps a PAL or GAL or two?
