Hi,

thanks for your reply! What do mean exactly?
The positions of the pins inside the gq-4x or the soldering?

Do you have a working adapter?

Re: GQ-4X4 Rewriting 29F032B does not work

Was nobody successful writing to the 29F032B with a GQ-4?
I only bought the programmer for that :-( Since no refund is possible I really want to try further.

Should i just buy the official adapters

ADP-077
ADP-082

GQ-4X4 Rewriting 29F032B does not work

Hi, after some years of inactivity I finally bought a GQ-4X (its the new version GQ-4X4) and I want to rewrite my 29f032 chips for updated translations or change the games. I am using this adapter and followed the instrucations about the three extra pins: http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/programming-29f032...

Re: Supercic 12F629 in SFC cart? (make it play on pal consol

You can use Ucon64 to remove common copy protections. After you did that, it does not matter which CIC is installed on the board. You still need the correct CIC key for the CIC lock in the SNES though.

It will work (either PAL or SuperCIC), but it won't if the game has some kind of copy protection that checks the region of the CIC on the cartridge. (Clock Tower does this for example - then you will get the message you expected to see ;) )

Just use a heat gun, if you do it right, you can remove the sticker including the glue with no left traces. Even if you dont succeed, you can use some Hara lap or something to remove the rest of the glue.

I think BSNES already emulates the SGB, you can use your Gameboy ROMs with it.

Just download bsnes 64bit and test your ROM with it. You need to run snespurify first, it removes the header. (its included in the bsnes package)
If your images works on bsnes 64bit, it should work on the real snes.

Well the modifcation of one cartridge takes time and maybe a little bit of skill too. If everybody who wants a modified cartridge would build it by themselves nobody would buy one, so there must be a market. So RetroUSB shouldnt charge for Star Ocean too? I mean, they sure dont have the right to use...

Well in case of Star Ocean you only have to worry about Dejaps copyright - if you supply the original mask rom with the modified cart.

There won't be much to look at. It's probably the 96 megabit version meaning you will see likely a 128 megabit flash chip, some sram, battery, and some discrete chips or cpld. There won't be any voodoo or black magic included. Well if Zig is working at the same thing atm it cant be that easy either...
