is that necessary?
It's the first I've heard of needing another resistor.

This is for the /ce pin on the wram right?
Why does that need a resistor?

Except I'm NOT asking for someone to explain it to me, READ --THEN--- RESPOND. I already have my plan posted above, I already explained that I know HOW it works and WHY it works. I just want a simple "yes" or "no" from someone who has already done this, and if I can use the capac...

right, except for the fact this isn't really a repro, since Mother was never released in America. If I wanted to make money, I'd be using donor boards that didn't require $5 in parts. This is just for me, I have no intent of selling it. You don't seem to have any problem with other reproductions on ...

Mother repro using TN-ROM board

Ok, I pretty much understand how to do this after researching, but I'd just like to confirm this information with the veterans here. I understand that Mother can be reproduced using TK-Rom boards, but I'm just plain unwilling to give up my copy of Deja Vu. As I understand it, a TN-ROM is suitable ex...

I've seen some posts in other parts of the internet showing that an 8mhz signal can pass through a mercury tilt switch without issue.

They are apparently popular in thermometers used to regulate an air conditioner.

Doesn't that warp the plastic if you aren't careful?

With the soak method the only possible risk you run is having suspiciously clean carts.

if I don't need to keep the label, I just soak the cart in hot soapy water for 30 minutes, then rub off the label to expose the glue, then I apply a layer of olive oil, wait 30 minutes, and rub off the glue, and wash the cart in hot soapy water to remove the oil.

Works every time.

The soldering may not be pretty, but it definitely gets the job done. I can't see any other way to fit all that stuff in a tiny Famicom cart. Good job! I'm going to be soldering an EPROM on the underside of a FF3 cart to make my dual-language reproduction. I got really lucky and found a nice tiny SP...

A simple solution would be to do like the 3-in-1s for DS Slot 1 do and flash a boot-able rom to non-volatile memory (like NAND or flash rom) and have it so if the device doesn't see an SD card in the device, it boots from said flash/nand/what have you and acts like a regular GB/GBC game. This would ...

So, back on topic. After a little research, it looks like he's soldering those voltage regulators to the C4 surface mount capacitor to get voltage, cutting the middle pin, and soldering the ground pin to any nearby convenient point. From there, it's exactly as I said before, solder the chip as a dro...

I never said it would be easy.

But just imagine the possibilities for the SHEER POWER of a 6-in-1 devcart with access to all those add-on chips.

SuperFX-2
CX4
SA-1
DSP
SPC7110
and SDD-1

Stronger than the PS3!

If all SA-1s are the same, why can't we just stick them in a flash cart like the Super Everdrive then?

while we're on the subject of Kirby and SA1 games...

I know the SA-1 chips are customized to each title, but is it possible to, say, play Kirby 3 off the Kirby Super Star SA1?

There is a possibility they both use the same hardware setup.

those AMS1117s are the same ones Kogami used, so I don't see why not.

The datasheet will tell you which pin is ground and which is 5V+ in, the large tab on the back is 3.3V+.
