Re: SNES PowerPak
Okay, time for the beta2 release . Have a look at the changes list if you feel like it, as there are many. :) http://www.manuloewe.de/main/uploads/projects/powerpak/firmware-200beta2_2.png http://www.manuloewe.de/main/uploads/projects/powerpak/firmware-200beta2_3.png http://www.manuloewe.de/main/upl...

Re: SNES PowerPak
Ramsis do we have a rough ETA on the new menu? I am still holding back receiving my updated bios chip since I want it to have the latest version on it  Depends on how many critical bugs I may yet encounter. Despite ~110 downloads of beta 1 so far, I'm pretty much on my own with all the testing...

Re: SNES PowerPak
I have moded my 1CHIP snes with ikari01's goodies: IGR + SuperCIC + 50/60hz switch... Everything seems to work fine but the powerpak in NTSC mode does not work, it does not load roms, it always complains they are missing the header... switch to PAL mode and everything works perfect - switch to NTSC...

Re: SNES PowerPak
Thanks, Marvin! :) But I have a question about the .spc player. Is there some trick to make it play a full directory of .spc files? Seems like it just plays the file that is first and repeats until forever. And the only way to get the next spc is to reboot the system and select another file. Am I do...

Re: SNES PowerPak
If Ramsis were to give me permission - I could offer preflashed chips for a (semi?) decent price. Quotes I have been given would suggest probably £3 per chip + shipping and would be preflashed. Sure, I don't mind people selling pre-flashed chips. :-) At the same time however, I would generally advi...

Re: SNES PowerPak
Cool, now if we only could find out how the in-system flashing of the firmware works (if it does at all). :) True, I too would love to see an easy-to-use flash updater. :-) Actually, I've been looking into this for quite some time now. The good news is that I have a plan on how to proceed, and that...

Re: SNES PowerPak
Hi! :-) Hi, thanks for the prompt advice. I have tried preparing the files from XP and 7, but it did not make a difference. In addition to MottZilla's advice, I'd recommend trying a different brand of CF card and/or reformatting your CF card (with FAT32) and/or reorganizing your files in such a way ...

Re: SNES PowerPak
Ideally, a revised firmware would just chain-load the new firmware version from CF if present. Or what makes that hard? I'm not the kind of guy to ever present "ideal" solutions. Just better ones (hopefully). :-) Here's what I have (click for larger image): Thanks a bunch for the picture,...

Re: SNES PowerPak
Thanks, guys! :-) I have a RevE. 2/23/10 Very interesting. When looking through the transparent casing at the back of your PowerPak, are you able to tell how the ROM chip is most likely mounted (e.g., with a socket or without)? @tepples, you too might want to check this since there might even be dif...

Re: SNES PowerPak
Also by the way it would be great to scroll the whole thing a few pixels to the right, because you know, on PAL TV screens the leftmost ~4 pixels are hidden, and this makes the cursor looks cropped and it looks weird. True, and already done. :D Here, this should make keeping track of my progress ea...

Re:
Million-dollar question: When do you plan to release this? Soon! :-) http://manuloewe.de/snestuff/powerpak/firmware-200alpha-WIP120803.jpg As of now, v2.00-alpha3 appears to work great. There are still a few things I'd like to fix, though. For example, (...) EDIT: HDMA seems to be fixed for good in...
