Re: New SNES game in development: Furry RPG (working title)

Where you having problems with Win 10? The problem with Win 10 is that with every major update (like the 1511 build), all of which you're forced to install in any case, a new WIM is installed onto your system. But if you have a 3-boot UEFI system like myself, updates like these are likely to mess u...

Re: New SNES game in development: Furry RPG (working title)

I like it! I was just playing now before the last update. I just love that music Sun, Wind and Rain. Thanks!! :D Build #00252 is out. The biggest news is multi-language support for the dialog text engine. While I was at it, I started to work on the German localization as well. You can switch betwee...

For goodness sake, try to do (i.e., get done) something -- anything! -- before yadayada.

Re: SNES Splatoon (How do I shot HiROM?)

What's with all the passive aggressiveness? It's not "passive aggressiveness", at least not from my part. Rather, it's active annoyanceness. (Yes, I'm perfectly aware that word doesn't even exist.) I tried to play along, but you won't take a break. *Yawn* You "playing along&qu...

Earth @Espozo, read your docs, and you'll find that the SNES CPU has built-in hardware multiplication/division, in case you didn't know/care.

Re: SNES Splatoon (How do I shot HiROM?)

If you set PB (K) to $40, and DB (B) to $00, then you could read and write to PPU registers with sta $2120 , etc. as you pleased, because those instructions use DB (B). OP has been told this exact same thing ~100 times before, but he's proven like ~1000 times that it's simply beyond him. Kudos to y...

Re: SNES Splatoon (How do I shot HiROM?)

Think you could be a better teacher? Nah, you really wouldn't want to know what I'm thinking about you (as a learner) at this point. Although what I can tell you is that ... Maybe I need to watch the video again ... I don't think that'll help. However, feel free to prove me otherwise. ...

Thanks. :) Furry RPG! was meant to be an open-source project from the very beginning, so this had been overdue anyway.

Now, let's just hope that both sprite contributors will approve of it so I can include their work in a future build ... 8-)

The source code to Furry RPG! is up on GitHub (finally), so there's yet another Mode 7 reference for anyone interested.

Also nice seeing you live and in color for once. @00:14:47 -- I couldn't agree more. Never understood why on earth ne...

Re: SNES, where to start?

Hey, nicklausw, nice to hear you've got started on SNES development. :) As for what to look for, what's supposed to happen in this: in the top left corner of the screen, the number '5' is drawn and is white. Tried it on the PowerPak, where the number appears as expected, and on sd2snes. With the lat...

Re: SPC File Format looks like S***

I know a lot of ROM hackers (myself included) who were early adopters of UPS/BPS, headerless ROM images, game folders etc. I admit those people may still be a minority to this day, but the numbers are clearly increasing. Not the ones I've seen. You might want to look harder . But never mind....
